honeybeez - definitely go with HW. You can't go wrong with the classic cushion w/ micropave halo!!! I have a feeling the HW ring will be around the same size as the solitaire, even though the halo is very delicate. I love HW and their customer service SO MUCH more than Tiffany. They are amazing! I don't think you can go wrong with HW or have any regrets when you get it!!

~.19 carats is not that much =) I'm sure the 1.16 is going to look great!! I tried on a 1.03 carat I think back when I was looking at rings, and I thought it looked amazing. You won't be disappointed!

But yeah, definitely think about what you want. . .clean, round & simple or square, blingy, and yet feminine. The F color is going to be whiter than the H, and the diamonds at HW sparkle like crazy!!

I dont have the hw measurement as the stone only arrive tomorrow but the sa advised me to quickly decide because this is f and vs2. According to him it goes very quickly. I dont think he knows the measurement yet. Hmm.... So hard to decide. I think hw gets more vote right?

I thought more about this, and from your original post, you sounded really, really excited to have a Tiffany. So, do you think you may regret getting anything but Tiffany? Do you care more about specs, or have you always wanted a Tiffany?

I feel I have a really good relationship my SA and very comfortable to ask anything.

honeybeez, BTW, initially, the micropave ring was not a contender for us when we were ring shopping, but DF and I decided to go in to HW one day and see what was there. I had to try the ring on because it's their most popular ring and when it was on my finger, we knew it was the one! I believe that the one I tried on was around a 1 carat cushion and it was a good size. I'm sure you will be very happy with it!

The measurement will be 6.33 x 5.7 x 3.85. And it is a cushion modified brilliant.
Actually i was hoping for a cushion brilliant. So how does this dimension faces up?

U mean the tiffany's sa do not stand behind the products they sell?
This is quite sad because they charge a high premiums for it.
I am still waiting some pictures from the hw sa. No doubt he is very friendly, his pirces are so strict too...

Well, my Tiffany SA was AMAZING... and we still keep in touch months after we've purchased my ring. Every time I walk in the store, she greets me with a hug and immediately takes my ring for cleaning. Then she talks to me and lets me try on whatever I want. And, just FYI, my engagement ring is under a carat, so it's not like I'm a baller or anything! lol

I think every store is different though, b/c I have heard other people complain about their Tiffany experience, but I've heard people complain about every store, so I wouldn't judge your ring choice based on the SA.

In the end, I would go with the ring that you absolutely love!

I'm sorry to hear that. I hope you can go to another location if any problems/questions arise in the future. I think sometimes it's the management issue or it's the particular SA. I've had mediocre experiences at Tiffany...maybe it's the area we live in.

Every brand is bound to have a bad SA here or there. I've never had anything but great service and found the management/customer service to stand behind their product completely. My Tiffany store is about an hour away so I don't go down there very often so we always hit every Tiffany in cities when we travel. I must have been to at least 15 different Tiffany stores across the USA by now and have always been treated like a Queen (even when I had my original 1.33ct).

My local SA is the best. When we upgraded, she gave us His and Her passport covers and His and Her luggage tags because she knew we were leaving on vacation a few days later. She also sent us a gift for Christmas this past year (Large Tiffany Atlas Glass Bowl).

Good luck deciding on a ring.

If the sas don't play nice and you have an issue and complain, you should still feel like a valued customer. Your problems should be taken seriously and be addressed ASAP. If you feel like you can't do that at your local Tiffany, I think it's a deal breaker. You want to know the SA or management is behind you, especially with the amount you are spending on it!!

So sad to hear you had a fall out with your SA, Khol! If you have time I'd be really curious to hear the story sometime... I've had some that aren't as nice as others but the one I found in Toronto is SO SWEET - I love seeing her and she is always so sweet and accommodating!
