just a cocktail mini dress. they never explain, and if I ask, they just give some common words. but I think maybe because I cut hanger straps, they were so annoying. I didn't even realize I did it when I was sending it, I completely forgot.
If you still want to sell that dress, there's a huge HL following on Lollipuff and they only take 9% commission.

I asked to reduce the price of my Birkin slightly because I don’t care about a couple hundred, easier just to have them sell it at this point. However, they declined to reduce the price. This justification is odd.

It has been reserved constantly for at least 2 weeks! I don’t think that means anything. If someone is still hogging the $75 gucci scarf without pulling the trigger, what makes them thing the people reserving my Birkin are serious buyers?
Of course someone would want to buy it at the listed price, but it’s irrelevant because they can’t if the person who can afford it can never get to it.

I think we've seen that multiple people reserving doesn't always lead to sales, as in fashionvictim's case. did you have your call with them?

Lol autocorrect:
I meant to say “the people reserving my Birkin” NOT “the people deserving my Birkin”!

They changed the timing of my call to next Tuesday so I will report back then :)

I have a couple more Hermes bags I would consider sending in to ThreadUp, but never with the current policies. I would not try ebay with the potential for scamming buyers (even 1 in 1,000) so maybe I will try Lollipuff.

All of the items I sent to Luxe have sold (none of them were extremely expensive) with the exception of one pair of booties they've had since late December. They are constantly in someone's cart and i have almost 40 watchers. I'm sort of resigned to taking them back in another month and re-listing on ebay or maybe I'll send them to TheRealReal.

nicole0612, I can't wait to hear what they say when you talk to them on Tuesday. This cart nonsense has to stop. I've got a couple other items I might send them but not until they get this issue fixed.

Yeah with booties it's kind of time sensitive too because once we get into March people might not want to be buying boots anymore. They did tell me when I spoke to them that a cart fix is coming but didn't have a specific date yet. I also said I have more stuff to send but not before the cart issue is fixed.

If anyone hasn’t talked to them yet (although this isn’t Luxe specific), I am currently being that person holding things in my cart for 48 hours because there is no option to NOT use your credit when you check out. Now all my items are under $15 so I’m assuming someone has already been paid out for them and I have every intention of purchasing these items tomorrow. However, my cashout balance will be available tomorrow and I would like to cash it out and purchase these items on my credit card. Thus, I’ve had to let them expire and re-add to my cart today. I’ve had too many issues with returns, credits, etc. that I want everything on my card for peace of mind. If there was an option to use credit or not, that would be very useful.

Update from Claire:

I also have an exciting update for you -- the commit to buy feature should be live for a very small number of people in the next week or so, hopefully expanding to all buyers shortly thereafter. We're super excited about this, and we're hoping that it results in better sales on some of the most coveted items! The way that this will work is that all available (unsold) items will show on our site, including reserved items, and if a serious buyer is interested in something currently reserved in someone else's cart, they can enter their card info and "commit to buy" once it drops out of the initial person's cart. The item is captured automatically, meaning it will not be possible for the initial reserver to remove the item only to immediately re-add it to extend their hold time. Effectively, the commit-to-buy buyer will wait at most 24 hours before their card is charged, and the item is sold. We're very optimistic about this feature, and we think a lot of buyers will be really happy with it!

I hear this today also. Both changes are very good news! I strongly suggested the reserve time be cut in half at least still, so a buyer may get the charge through on the same day vs the next day.
