I think it’s just a design choice. There is a lot less hardware on the newer version of the Speedy Empreinte. Some prefer the older version, but I prefer the new one. I find it less gaudy, more refined. Across all collections, the vast majority of Speedy bags do not feature feet.I am lusting for the Speedy 25 bandoliere in black empreinte. I really love my luxury bags to have feet on the bottom to protect the bottom of the bag from wear and dirt. Although the Speedy 25 empreinte bag used to have feet, the newer model does not. Does anyone have a clue as to why LV took the feet off the Speedy 25? At the price of an empreinte bag, I feel that customers should get the best quality, which includes the beautiful LV feet. BTW - my new Artsy bag in papyrus empreinte, which has far less structure than the Speedy has feet.
If you really want feet, it would be easy to pick up the older version of the Speedy Empreinte on the preloved market.
