Oh wow that's not very old! I would definitely insist on them fixing at their cost! It's so random how some have the issue and others don't[emoji848]

Hi, I went to local LV store and they said they I need to pay for repair about $150 and for the new strap about $300.
It takes 6-8 weeks.
Why don't they repair at their own cost...

They all have the same general policies BUT it's to the discretion of the SA and Mgr of what they will enforce. I know I have been to one store where they told me no on an exchange, telling me they will send pics and then I went to another store and they did an exchange immediately. If after the second try at another store it doesn't work out in your favour, then yes send an email and pics and express how disappointed you are and that so many people have this issue and in the same area of the bag. Tell them that a $2k bag should last more than a year and 4 months before needing repairs costing $450.

My most favorite purchase yet! I want a black one now. You will love it and it holds its value so well if you ever decide to sell it :)

The noir is beautiful. Just watch out for light emp on the front and corners of the front to make sure you like it. I am not sure if I am keeping mine yet as I have an emp issue but if I return it, I will def repurchase another one immediately. I absolutely love this bag. Now I see why everyone loves it.

My SA has received a Pochette Metis Reverse for me :D Will go to the store and see it tomorrow. So now I need your help - what are the common issues I need to look out for? I am aware of the following:
* Misalignment of canvas (this is actually not a major thing for me)
* Lock being misaligned/not straight
* Glazing being bubbly or lifting
* I want to check the date code - where do I find it?

I am based in Europe so I won't have common issues related with MIU bags (if there are any differences).

I believe the datecode is in the front pocket ( the right side I think but I don't have my bag now).
I think that your mentioned issues are the most common ones, also pay attention to see if the lock is really secured with the two 'screws'.
I'm really excited for you that you get to pick up your bag! Fingers crossed it passes your inspection

Does the reverse PM always come with the lighter brown strap? I've seen one online that has the darker strap and I'm wondering if it is authentic?
Also, how good is LV at returning/exchanging items without a receipt? To be honest I have no experience with LV. I'm more of a Dior, Saint Laurent girl and I've always had great customer service with both.

I believe that the PM was only sold with the reverse mono strap, however people can just change them with their regular PM strap so you can't directly say that it's a fake because of this.

Regarding returning without a receipt this shouldn't be a problem of you made the purchase and it is registered under your name.

Yup. That's one of the issues. Omg we all should compile a list of QC checks for each pm model and send to LV team. Lol.
Here's my list for emp
1- Centered lock/straight
2- Tight loop on straps
3- Deep emp print on back/front and under the flap
4- Check emp print in corner of bag by stitching (it won't be deep because of stitching and pulling of leather but it should not be completely smooth either, at least not just on one side)
5- Glazing on straps, around the bag and under the lock
6- Side clips straight
7- Zip alignment on back
HTH as this is all I can think of with the Empreinte model.

the square lock not centered :oh:. Is that one of the common issue with this bag ?

Ooh that's a tough one!
From your first pic with the bag closed the side patterns looked great and the top clasp looked fairly centered.
You would probably be the only person that would ever notice the square lock wasn't quite right as I assume it's only noticeable when the bag is open but you would know.
I've always thought that I wasn't that pickier person but I have a reverse pm being delivered tomorrow and know that I will sending it back if it's not perfect. I wonder if we are all looking for miracles but it's a lot of money if you're not 100%
X
