Greetings! I have not sprayed my PM, but I can tell you the following from my personal experience with other bags with vachetta:

It does not matter how much you spray it, keeping it inside a bubble will only damage the bag when you think long-term. The leather is "alive" and it needs to breathe. When we spray it, god knows what happens to that process. - My PM has been exposed to a light mist and I sincerely cannot identify water stains.

In my humble opinion, wrapping a scarf around the handle is less damaging than spraying the vachetta. Also, I always carry a large folded zip-loc bag on the back pocket for REAL rain emergencies.:smile::smile:

thanks for your thoughts! I wanted to be able to carry the bag in all weather with confidence - spraying it has done that for me. I like the look of vachetta and don’t want to cover it up by using a scarf. :). I guess we will see what happens long term! I’m not sure I’ll keep up the spraying - perhaps as it gets older I’ll let it live it’s more”natural” life. Who knows?

I, on the other hand, don’t like turning a blind eye to what’s going on in the world. And my comment was in response to another user’s comment that I should use the stimulus money to get a bag. Which I found quite distasteful.
As with any public forum, you are free to leave whenever you want.
Maybe you need to be reminded that the purpose of the stimulus check is to literally stimulate the economy. This includes any retail purchase. Now please exit. Your comments are troll-like and aggressive.

Am I? You said above "I hate turning on the news". If you hate the news, how do you know what's going on in the world?

I don't think I brought "politics" to this page. All I said is "if you get stimulus money, you don't need, why wouldn't you donate it?" Not sure if this statement can be classified as leftist or rightist.
It can be classified as ignorant and unaware.

Ignorant and unaware of what exactly?
I am honestly shocked that I am getting hate for saying "if you do not need the stimulus money and would use it to buy a LV bag, donate it to those in need." I am not trying to start any fights here, but can really someone explain to me why is this perceived so negatively? How is this so offensive and wrong? Honestly curious to hear your side.

The way you responded in some posts can be taken with a "holier than thou" attitude.

Good for you for being fortunate that you don't qualify for a stimulus check, but it doesn't give you the right to strongly suggest and shame others for not doing what you would have done. It's someone's check to do whatever they want with.

If someone wants to save it, good. If someone wants to spend it, good. If someone wants to donate it, good.

For all we know, there may be some people who have just been getting by, and the check gives them extra funds to get something they've been wanting. Who are we to assume we know someone else's finances at an intimate level, and then deny them from getting something they've been looking forward to?

Thank you for the explanation. That was not my intention. I am far from perfect or claiming to be.

I think I (over)reacted to the comment that I should use the stimulus money toward a bag, because I have always been raised (and still carry) the mentality that you can only splurge on unnecessary goods if you are comfortable enough financial and have a good amount of savings to fall back on, if need be. Definitely not the YOLO type. :)

But, again, I did not mean to offend anyone or start fights.

Hi
I totally get your frustration, but I believe LV will do the right thing for you. - Be careful with what you read here.

Also, this bag is still hot for a reason: it is great! - give it another try and I am sure it will bring many smiles to your face. Keep us posted!

Hi!
I followed advice of PM lovers from this thread...as they suggested, it was probably glue residue. Careful rubbing, and it came right off!
I still love this bag, got it dressed up with an Hermes zebra twilly for an outing today ❤

That's great that worked out same for you. I haven't seen anymore glue on mine since that one spot.

I put a bandeau on mine for the first time yesterday. I own multiple bags but I've never had complete strangers comment as much as they do on the PM. People swoon when they see it. The power of the PM!
