I pulled the triggers joining the club with my new Creme/Bois des Rose PM. The leather is absolutely lush. I am a tad scared of colour transfer but it’s just an amazing bag. Stand up empty
Have my eyes on the reverse now. Seems to have good availability on the website. Covid effects?

Hi all, I got my mono PM a few weeks ago and sprayed the vachetta with Collonil Carbon Pro x3 (a substitute for Apple Guard which isn’t available here in Canada).

i have mixed feelings about it - It did darken the vachetta somewhat (I’ve seen mixed things posted on tpf about this) - it no longer looks like new vachetta which I am a bit sad about. On the other hand, I do love the colour and it makes me more confident to take it out every day which is what I wanted. I’d rather have it darkened overall than have water spots

The photos are both after the spray had dried - I think it actually looks lighter in the photos than real life.

What do you all think?

Looks good.i used the patina champ method and it's working great top. not that I've carried it in rain...its gotten even more patina now I noticed yesterday but I love that. Not a fan of fresh vachetta. Enjoy!

I got a replaced Métis in noir. The new Métis I received however has no date code inside. No made in stamp and no date date. Is it a new norm? No date code makes me nervous. There is rumours lv is phasing out date code, instead using chips . i see date code as one way to verify it’s legit . There is no lv store in town I am living so if Chips is the future, then for us in small town it is harder to virtually see authenticity as 1st thing.

Anyone else got purse with no date code?

I am debating whether to return it

Mine doesn’t have a date code (got it a few weeks as ago). My understanding is that it has a chip.

Greetings! I have not sprayed my PM, but I can tell you the following from my personal experience with other bags with vachetta:

It does not matter how much you spray it, keeping it inside a bubble will only damage the bag when you think long-term. The leather is "alive" and it needs to breathe. When we spray it, god knows what happens to that process. - My PM has been exposed to a light mist and I sincerely cannot identify water stains.

In my humble opinion, wrapping a scarf around the handle is less damaging than spraying the vachetta. Also, I always carry a large folded zip-loc bag on the back pocket for REAL rain emergencies.:smile::smile:

I am so sad and very frustrated! Based on all the posts and experience in this forum, I made a habit of checking my mono PM regularly, since the day I bought it. Today, I realized that the PVC coating is coming off at several locations of the flap. Has anybody had this before? My instict is, once the coating starts peeling, it will only go worse.

So frustrating. I take care of the bag quite well, and haven't even worn it more than 5 times since I received it (January 2021).

I will contact LV, and I don't doubt that they will offer support in the matter. But this is the second PM I received (first one had problems with glazing) and even if I LOVE this bag, I don't want to be worried all the time if some other problem will come up.

I can't decide if I should insist on getting my money back (is it even possible, or they offer only store credit?), or consider the emprinte leather PM. Any thoughts, ladies?
I totally get your frustration, but I believe LV will do the right thing for you. - Be careful with what you read here.

Also, this bag is still hot for a reason: it is great! - give it another try and I am sure it will bring many smiles to your face. Keep us posted!

So many people saying their PMs tilt forward. I wonder if those bags have a drinking problem.:biggrin::biggrin:
Now, seriously: When they are new, if the store did not keep them stuffed while in storage, the bottom edges are gonna be flatter. That can be one of the reasons. Most comments here say their bags do not tilt when they are stuffed.
