Believe me when I say my collection is a precious to me as yours is to you. I have a lot of respect for the way you do it, but it's not for everyone....Just saying.
Oh I understand. I hope I did not offend with the way I said that, I really did not mean to. I buy beads now for the beauty or for how they fit nicely in a design, or because I just like that particular bead and they are special to me. But I will always like my first completed bracelet the most because for me I started with the purpose of representing my family and pets, that is what I meant. I know how special everyone's Pandora collection is to them no matter what, its a pride and a joy. Sorry it came out a little wrong the first time I said it.

A few changes.. I'm still not 100% happy with this one but I will leave it this way for now :)View attachment 2705551
I love your bracelet! What is it you're not happy with? I hope you don't mind me making the suggestion that you put the dangle beside the other clip on the right. That way it does not take away from the beauty of the openwork heart. I also remember learning in my perception course while I studied psych that people prefer asymmetry in art when it is skewed to the right. It has something to do with the fact that we read from left to right and we finish on the right and also something about our 'dominate' eye. I can't remember exactly the explanation. (People who first learned Arabic prefer asymmetry to the left). And then maybe move your apple and your crown to beside your spacers and switch the t-shirt and the birds with eachother. I find the t-shirt and the jewelry box don't quite sit well together.

I think your bracelet is GORGEOUS anyhow. It looks like you take incredibly good care of it.

Thanks!
I'm happy with the middle, it's the other two sections I just can't get quite right. Yes, that's interesting. I prefer the heart it on the right, it sits to the right when worn. I already tried the t shirt and love birds the ways you suggest, but it doesn't look so good overall, the t shirt is such a hard one to place; it doesn't sit well against anything I have! Except maybe the gold tipped flower.
I think I need a couple more spacers, so that the t shirt will sit better.

I totally agree. It also depends on one's finances! I understand that some people are happy to wait for charms as birthday or Christmas presents, and that some are happy to buy for themselves. I am a bit of both. When I first bought my bracelet, I bought 3 charms and 2 muranos, and wore it like that for ages. Then about a year later I was quickly building up to a full bracelet. Nowadays I just buy whatever charm I want. I do still get them as gifts from friends and love that too. I like changing my bracelet up depending on what I fancy. To be honest, if I had plenty of money, I would probably buy enough charms to fill it up straight away, haha!

I think I would too, haha. Álso, I am used to taking care of things myself whenever I can. If I want something done around the house and I can do it myself I will do that too. And the design of my bracelet is something I take care of myself too, I would like to receive more charms but when that doesn't happen I am not waiting for it.

Boo hoo, I'm not on vacation.....holiday as we call it in the UK. I wish I was. I am in the second week of my 6week summer holidays as I work in a school. I have to work the last 3 days of the last week as I am doing simmer school this year. I actually have no one to go on holiday with, except for my folks but they are elderly so that isn't going to happen! That's always the case when one doesn't have a boyfriend. All my female friends are holidaying with their other halves. I've never had a friend ask if I would like to go on a girls holiday. That would be amazing. However, I know they would rather go with their partners which is why I have never asked either. : (

We call it holidays too, if I translate it. But I thought people would think that I'm talking about Christmas when I say holiday. Too bad that your not going either. You never choose to go alone? Like in the movie Eat, pray, love? You never know what might happen... :p

That film sounds interesting! I think I am too much of a wuss to travel on my own. My best friend is going to Qatar for 2 years with her husband in 3 weeks time, and she has said if she is allowed to invite friends over to stay at their accommodation, then I am welcome to come and visit. However the thought of going to a Middle Eastern county does not particularly appeal to me for obvious reasons. Dubai is more of a holiday destination and I would be okay to go there, but I don't think people go to Qatar for a holiday, it's usually to work.

Usually most people go on their summer holidays at this time of year. I love Greece, but again I don't think I would ever go on my own.

Yeah I think when you first get a Pandora, it's so precious and they are expensive so you normally wait until you receive charms as presents, however, if you are onto your 3 or 4th bracelet, it's probably because you buy most of the charms yourself! I have several bracelet and I do buy a lot of the charms myself but I always try and buy them at a cheaper price because I know where I can get them discounted at (ebay, sales etc).

It´s okay, I get what you mean now. I justed looked at my collection and asked myself if it would mean more if I received it as gifts, maybe it would but it still means the world to me. I get what you mean now too
:smile1:

I would be scared to go alone too, but it seems romantic and adventurous to me. A friend of mine went for a trip to Thailand for a couple of weeks al by herself, she had a great time but she´s more fearless than I am.

In the beginning it is easier to receive charms, the changes that you do not have that charm is bigger than when you already have a lot. I started whit Pandora because my mom gave me a bracelet and three charms. After that the only gift I got was one golden spacer from my dad, wich I am still very happy with.
In the beginning all I could see is how expensive it is, I felt like it would be money wasted. Now I now better, I know when the sales are and I know I can always sell it and it stays beautifull and solid.

When I first got my bracelet I naively thought I'd be receiving charms for birthdays, Christmas etc etc - but no! I've ended up buying significant charms myself (I found some beauties in the recent sale) although my family did help me choose a couple for my birthday this year. I must get some pics up!

Maybe it's because they don't really understand how much it would mean to us. Most people would rather give something that is less expensive and not so tiny. Before I got the Pandora flue my SIL got a Pandora bracelet and she had a small Pandora book with pictures and prices and I suppose that she had hoped to receive some charms someday too, but I remember thinking that there would be no way that I would spend that much money on something so small. LOL, I guess I was wrong... :p

That's what normally happens. I think we get too impatient to wait for them as gifts and rather bag ourselves a bargain and just buy what we want. There's nothing wrong with that. Some of my favourite charms I have bought myself.

I love gifting charms as presents. I wish all my friends have Pandora. I converted two of my friends into Pandora fans, although one isn't too bothered. There's nothing better than being handed that little Pandora bag knowing that there will be a delightful little charm inside the bag. It doesn't even matter if it's the cheapest spacer, we would still love it!
