About fake Pandora charms...I bought the cozy cat bead from the Pandora store and when I got home I was adding it to my bracelet and noticed that the stamp was crooked and fading on the ALE. You could barely see it. And another bead I bought directly from the Pandora store was the pink sea glass and I picked the color shade I liked but did not notice that it was weird on one side where the core had some white stuff coming out and the color wasn't blended with the rest of it.

I am always upset because they look fake but I know they aren't. If I ever want to sell them or trade them, someone might think they are fake. This kinda sucks right? I should have taken them right back and asked to trade them.

Anyway my point was that there are some beads that you just can not tell if they are fake or not. If I had ordered those on the internet I definitely would have called them fake and maybe even thrown them out. So like they suggest, if you want to be sure its real Pandora, buy it from the store and keep your receipts.

I just took all the stuff I bought from JF to my local jeweller who sells Pandora. He checked them all out and compared the JF anchor charm with those in his shop. He believes they are all authentic but he thought the anchor charm may have been used because of wear on the side where the ALE and 925 is. The only one that he had never seen before was the "Peace" Chinese symbol charm but he felt the engraving was authentic.

I am pretty relieved but I think I will always have a little niggling doubt about them, which is unfortunate. I think I will be going back to buying my charms in an authorised store. (Unless you ladies let us know about Republic of Jewel down and dirty gold charm sales!)

I also checked about the two tone bracelet promo and he said it was on at the same time as the other one from March 20-22.

so glad you got some good news. im hoping my work mates will too. im not at all sure if they have all fakes maybe some of them are but I don't think all. But I think JF should atleast check that the stamps are present and clear and before they ship its the least they can do to assure that they are selling new items. Looks like they do not have much customer care. Are you going to return or keep the goods?

I am kind of up in the air about that. I should be reassured that my Pandora store says they are real but I have seen some really good fake Muranos, so I just don't know. I love the idea of saving money but you haven't really if they are fake. I am tempted to return them all, get my money back and spend 550.00 for the two tone bracelet promo.

Right now, JF has a two tone retired charm that I have been positively drooling for. I just sent a message to JF telling them that I took my charms in for authentication purposes and that the anchor charm may be used. I asked them outright if they sell used merchandise. I will wait for their response before I make my final decision.

Well, I finally received a return message. The seller was a bit rude and told me that if I questioned authenticity that I should just go to the concept store and pay full price. IDK, What should I do?? Do you think I can cancel my order? Or should I just go through with it and risk it?

Also, I told the seller that I would take the charm to have it Authenticated (If I purchase) and he said go ahead.

Oh yeah, I asked about him sending me an actual photo of the charm and he told me that the photo they used is from their own photographer.

Ultimately, its up to you what you decide to do, and all I can advise is what I would do if I were in your shoes with this situation. For me, there is just too many red flags and I would be requesting a return. But honestly, if youre happy to take the risk then thats your decision. Everyone is different.

Can you post a pic for your bracelet?

Here is some pics of my bracelet. I can't remember all of them but I got the zinnia clip, puffed heart, Midnight bloom clip, pave, rabbit and elemental flow clip from collectabead. My muranos are from the Pandora store as well as the camel, piggy and pony/horse and some others.

And my bangle has the skipping stones, letter L and I love you bead from collectabead. Most of them I did bring to the official Pandora store and they examined and compared them to the same beads and told me they were authentic. They even opened up the clips to see the hinges because those are a dead giveaway as to authenticity.

Sorry my pics are not that great cause I took them at night in my crappy living room lighting lol

I trust collectabead and I would still buy from them. If the Pandora store told me they are real then I am satisfied but like someone pointed out, they have seen people mix fake and real to throw people off and that is possible. Maybe I have just been super lucky so far.

I emailed the seller and asked for an actual photo of the bead and still no response... Something just doesn't sit right. I'm going to ask ebay to cancel my purchase. Thanks ladies for your advice, I really appreciate it :)
Collectabead sells thousands of beads per month and to take a picture of every bead they sold would be a little crazy. I think most people would agree. Another thing to consider is that they get the new collections spot on and not a few weeks later. Counterfeit Pandora beads take a while to make and collectabead gets them at the same time as the Pandora stores. I know from watching them get the Christmas collection and the Valentines at the same time and not later, which would suggest they had to wait for the fakes to be made and perfected.

But if you are really worried, just ease your mind and when your bead arrives you can tell ebay it is fake and they will refund your money and you can send it back to them and go to the store.

I was wondering, If Collectabead on ebay is "Not an Authorized Retailer" like they state, Why hasn't Pandora shut them down?
Authorized sellers are just a way of saying that Pandora deals with that seller directly. I do not know where collectabead gets there beads but they bought them and they are now allowed to sell them on a place like ebay with the right to resale. Just like anyone could sell off their bracelet on ebay. Pandora does in fact sell to small jewelers and random others, not ONLY "authorised" dealers.
