The girl I spoke with today wasn't snotty at all. She even showed me an authentic charm and pointed out the difference (most of which I noticed myself, hence my suspicions).

I'm just hoping that the return goes smoothly. I'm a little stressed. If it doesn't work out I've lost $180 and learned a very valuable lesson, though.
No, I didn't mean all retailers are snotty, just one of the jewelry stores I use are a bit stuck up, but they are handy. I hope mine are genuine but if yours aren't then I don't know why I expect mine to be. What else did you get beside the anchor?

So far I am out 396 pounds which now with our sinking dollar is about $700.00 CDN. Boo hoo. Oh well, maybe I'll just go with the promo for the two tone bracelet, although I went into a concept store on the weekend and they were pretty cagey about whether it was being offered.

OP have posted on this forum that their purchases were genuine. I wonder, OP, did you take your purchases from JF into a bricks and mortar store to determine authenticity? Thanks.

I don't think so. Even the 925 is SO faint and poorly engraved.
There's a few girls in my department at work that have ordered from jewel first and ive not heard them question there charms authencity so Ive assumed they were legit company but I've never ordered from them to compare. Think when I'm in the office tomorrow will see if the ladies will show me the beads they got from jewel first see if i can spot anything dodgy. The dangly I have is very well marked see if I can get a clear photo of it. I would have thought all silver dangly with a gold dangle part will have the same markings apart from if it was made after 2011/12 when it will have S925

hope you can see from mine the stamps is more clear plus theres other stamps below. I wonder if yours have been worn off so might be a returned item and used. im sorry if my photo is wrong way up as it always is if I take photos with my phone. but I think its still clear

That is exactly how the authentic charms in the store looked! Also yours is so evenly round, the way Pandora is supposed to be. I will never buy online again, that's for sure :(

I so hope you can get your money back. I always thought jewel first was once a authorised pandora dealer but had lost there contract and so was only selling whatever they had left. So hence pandora say they are unauthorised But now it seems not the case. I wonder if any other ladies on this thread have bought from them and have charms to compare.

Thank you, me too. I will escalate this with PayPal if I have to.

Maybe if you can screen shot photo of mine and some of yours they can compare they will believe that you have been sold a fake. I've never dealt with a dispute with online purchases so don't know what proof you would need or if any. Just hope it's straight forward, plus I think I read in earlier post that they had negative feed backs with authencity so that will strengthen your case too.

That was actually for an ebay seller - I bought this straight from the Jewel First website.

I won't be returning it based on the lack of authenticity. It is simply not as described - the quality is not that of Pandora. Also thr fact that the stampmis hardly noticable speaks for itself in my opinion. If it is simply "old" then it is not what I thought I'd be getting when I ordered it.

No, never authorised.. :(

Sounds like a good plan. If you have to escalate a paypal claim, say not as described, not counterfeit. Much simpler.

Where the other charms you bought of similar quality? And did you get them seen buy a pandora retailer did they give any feedback on them?

This is the only charm I have ever purchased online. All of my other charms (as well as my bracelet) were purchased at my local Pandora store.

As soon as I saw this charm I was very weary of it. It felt lighter than my other charms, but it was also my first two-tone so I thought perhaps I was being paranoid. Then I noticed how faint the 925 ALE mark was and all kind of alarms began tomgo off. I have 6 other charms, ALL of which have an incredibly well defined marking on them.

I took the charm to Pandora today, and it is indeed fake. I honestly would never have brought it in if the engraving hadn't been so terribed, and if the core of the charm hadn't looked so uneven and discoloured.
