How long do they typically take to respond? I haven't had a reply to this or even my regular email I sent through their website. Disappointing.
I've had great luck with their customer service ([email protected]) - they usually respond within a few days.
That's so disappointing! I only got to wear mine for a few weeks and I've never had a bag break in this way before. I always put them down so carefully. I wish the plastic beneath the piping wasn't bright white, too - it looks so obvious on my dark colored bag.
They finally emailed back and said they wouldn't do anything. It's a pity because I like the new "love" bag a lot, but I don't want to buy from them due to their bad customer service.

To answer your recent inquiries...
Yes, you can adjust the chain strap on our Love bags by doubling the strap (thanks Kasey!). If you need a step by step breakdown as to how this is done we can certainly send that over to you!
We are so sorry for any frustrations with our new site. It is definitely a work in progress and our team is working diligently to fix everything so we can offer you all an amazing shopping experience. The issue regarding the colors is currently at the top of the list. A trick that my team and I use is checking the URL, as the color is usually noted there.
Although we have had a few issues with our black enamel hardware, we are working to create a better alternative that does not wear prematurely. As far as I can see in our system, there will not be a black leather with gunmetal hardware combination but we can certainly pass that suggestion along!
designdesign - I have sent you a direct message to get some additional information from you regarding the wear on your handbag. Hopefully there is something that we can do to help you!

Bluefly.com has some good prices on some different RM bags right now (today only with extra 20%). Including some mini affairs for less than $100.00.
Sigh. They just told me to email the same totally unhelpful person I already heard back from - there's no point, I guess my otherwise-new bag is either dead or at the mercy of the local shoe repair guy. I love these bags and actually just bought a new one, but I'm already noticing the leather wearing down on the corners after a few days. If it happens twice I am out (my old MAMs never have these issues).
I recently "re-bought" my MAM in black since I had lost it last summer (thanks United Airlines...). I got a good price at the online Black Friday sale on the RM website, but I must say I was pretty disappointed because the weather is so pebbly and the lining horrible ( I just don't like light coloured linings...)
My old MAM was smooth leather with dash lining (from the RM NYC collection on her website, bought in December 2012)...I miss it so much.
I had inquired by email before to learn whether you can know (at least) what lining you will get, but was told you can't....I think they should do something about that. Sometimes I almost prefer to buy on other websites just because of that (you can see the lining and leather you will get).
I take the opportunity to claim that I miss darker linings and smooth leather....and rose gold hardware

i think the best way to get an old MAM is to buy from eBay or other auction sites.
and i have to add the Made in NYC bags also use good quality leather. unfortunately they've decided to stop this.

I got the unpretty b/w "twill" lining
I expected it thought, but I did not expect the pebble leather.
So weird. The Shopbop mini fringe MAC looks awfully similar to the one sold at Nordstrom, only with a different lining and hardware. So much for the style being exclusive. Yeah sure Rebecca, switch out the lining and hardware, but keep the fringe, and sell the bag at a different retailer, Nordstrom won't notice it, will they?
