Just wanted to post some pics of a repair I did today on my Metis Hobo. Had a hole
In corner and got brave after watching you tube video and purchased 3m vinyl/leather repair. I was very nervous to try this because it involves heat but I am so pleased with results. It's not perfect but it looks a lot better and hopefully won't tear any further. The top picture is the after..lol, had some trouble getting both to post.

Could you please share how you did this? Maybe what you knew before hand. I always feel like after I'm done that I wish I had known something before I start (hope that makes sence). Normally I can redo it or have a test piece but my delightful has these cracks and LV won't do anything so I want to try something.

I'm curious to know what caused the hole? I have a Melie that has pin holes in corners, I wonder if this will be my rescue technique in the future?!

I think a leather filler kit is your best bet. I got one on Ebay. Has 5-6 colors so you can blend the correct color, and pieces of different grains to match the bag's grain.

Awesome. I have leathernu already(dog scratched my couch), worked perfectly. I just wasn't sure if it would work on canvas. I have an old speedy that has a small crack I will test on first. Thanks.

Hello rescuers! I have an older Epi Leather French Purse wallet. It has started to get sticky in the bill pocket and also in the card slots. I recently switched into it after a very long time of not using it, and my credit card actually got STUCK it in! After a 1 minute WWE wrestling round at the Sephora check out counter I managed to remove the card.

Is there anything I can do to remove the sticky from the slots?

I am on the hunt for the perfect wallet for my Pochette Metis. I thought this was it.

Sorry you had a hole happen to your bag. But your repair looks great! Actually amazing! And this is good to know. Thanks for sharing.

Hi! I'm really new to the forum, but I've been meaning to join for years. I just purchased my very first Louie and I'm in love! It's a vintage Cartoucherie PM - it needs a bit of TLC, but I'm excited to take on the challenge, especially because it was such a good price (yay for Japanese consignment shops!). Tomorrow I"ll be cleaning, conditioning and sealing the leather. It's still going to look vintage when I'm done, but that's what I was going for.

One question I have is how to seal the canvas if there are minor cracks? I noticed that in the folds on the sides of the bag must have gotten a little dry and there is a small crack on each side.

I will take better photos tomorrow. This one was actually of my dearly departed kitty, but it's the only one I have of my bag so far.

ETA: Forgot so mention she was born in 1989 (few years younger than me) - the bag, obviously, not my cat haha.
