Sorry to say, the dirt would be the least concern, the canvas is cracking that's the big issue. I would suggest resell it ASAP.
Just in case anyone is wondering how dirty some of those vintage eBay pieces are. 
I skipped baby wipes and went straight to Lysol wipes. Followed up with soap+water and scrubbed the canvas with a baby toothbrush. Slathered Cadillac conditioner all over the canvas and let it sit over night. Worked miracles.
Repairing gouged/scraped canvas:
This cut is deep and goes through the plastic coating of the canvas (think paper cut). Used a sewing needle and some super glue to slowly and carefully stick the pieces back together.
End result:

Amazing! and I admire your courage to retouch these pieces! What a great result!
First I gave the leather a cleaning with some alcohol and fragrance free baby wipes. Then I used vachetta cleaner and then the conditioner from LMB! Hope this helps

Haha not professional at all! Honestly everything I tried I learned from this thread. Definitely some gurus and a lot to learn. I think went through the whole thing
last week my Keepall 45 monogram got soaked from rain on my holiday. The vachetta is stained and got darker. Any tips on how to get it more even and/or lighter? Im thinking about getting the vachetta replaced (maybe my insurance will cover it) but I heard it's expensive. Does anyone have an indication on how much the replacement will be for a Keepall 45?
If it bothers you so much, I think it would be better off selling it than replace all the leather.
Depends.. If the insurance company agrees to pay for the repair/replacement I would be happy.

Ladies i wanna dye her black! What do you think! I already ordered leather stain in black and the leather sheen from amazon. I heard its easier to use than resolene hehe
I have an alma that i bought preloved when i saw this pic. I wanna dye her black though. Im excited. Gonna pick the stain and sealer in new york soon. I hope it will be successful
