Okay so I read this whole thread (took me like, 3 hours...seriously....)

I'm getting my VERY first LV! I am BEYOND excited. I have been researching LV bags for years. I have been searching ebay for years. I finally sold off a bunch of bags I don't use and I decided to take the plunge. I scored this Petit Noe for $109 on eBay. I think it was a good deal given the condition of the bag. I found one where the handles and trim aren't too cracked (if they're cracked at all...) and the a lining that isn't totally trashed.
One thing I learned is that people abuse their LV bags. This bag is almost 30 years old, but geez. I"m thinking about doing the trying to use a baby wipe first on the trim and then maybe the ME on the bottom on the bigger stain. The trim looks a bit dry so I'm thinking about actually conditioning it first so it doesn't dry out more when I use whatever method I'm going to use to clean it. I don't think it looks totally bad, I kind of like the petina, I just think it'll need to be cleaned up a bit...
Would blackrock work? I read in other posts where someone used blackrock on the vechetta...I use it on my other bags that are leather and with some elbow grease and work I think it soaks in nicely.
The only other leather conditioner I have at the moment is Leather CPR. Other than that, I don't really have anything...
Any advice? TIA

I used brasso, magic eraser, leather conditioner, baby wipes [emoji106]🏻[emoji111]️

Thank you! That was my plan too. Yours looked so nice I wanted to use the same thing.
I think I'm going to put leather conditioner on the magic eraser sponge because I think the leather on mine is kind of dry. I don't want it to crumble.

Wow!!! that's very clean now! May I ask what you used to clean it?

Hi Phoe8nix
Its not for the faint hearted i believe... :p
I dipped it into a water pail with washing detergent diluted.
then i let it sit through for around 10 mins, then i use a tooth brush to brush it through with the concentrate detergent.:graucho::D
Then the water in the pail turn to dark brown colour.
Now it smell fresh inside, but exterior still smell like cigarette... :sweatdrop::sweatdrop:

OMG, I don't have the heart to bathe any LV in water :D
I do agree about cigarette smell, they're extremely difficult to get rid off.
Kudos to you for the bravery!

Amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!
just received a bucket pouch from ebay. Unfortunately the bucket i recently purchased did not come with with matching cosmetic case. I debated on getting a replacement pouch at the lv boutique but figured i didn't want to spend over $200 on a pouch.

So i was able to purchase one in very vintage shape from a different reseller; it was peeling all over inside and the outside was covered in vuittonite gunk. I wasn't sure about getting it because it was in such bad shape. However, most of the other pouches had sticky vuittonite anyway and i didn't want to get into a bidding war with someone else over a different pouch in better condition (i've noticed that while these are abundant on ebay, they're very hard to obtain as everyone seems to want them).

Once i got it, i rigorously cleaned the canvas with soap and baby wipes. At almost 21 years old, i'm amazed how beautiful and durable the lv canvas was! I figure that the person who used this last didn't use it much after the vuittonite sticked to the pouch and on the inside. For the interior, i used a quarter to scrape away the stickiness. With the hardware, i used a dab of vegetable oil to remove the excess stickiness. For the vachetta, i used the mr. Clean bars.

Overall, i think it turned out really well. I had to remove the date code, but since i already know the actual date and wanted to use the pouch, it didn't really bother me that much. I think the one thing i didn't have that much luck with was the vachetta (it's still mostly dark), but it's so cosmetic, i don't really worry about it.
