Finished pics of PM Bucket Tote

Here are my final pics of my latest rehab project

I think I must have set it out in the sun while I was drying the lining... It has some darker spots on the vachetta that I have scrubbed with all my might... I'm hoping the straps soften a bit when I use it, had a few more cracks on the straps and top of the bag that I tried to repair myself. No sticky, and very useable!

I'm not as happy with this bag as I was my GM Bucket rehab... But it's a great bag to take when running errands, shopping, dinner, what ever ya want! I like it because I can put my iPad Mini in it and it's handy!

Very nice and thanks again for answering my questions. Can't wait to take my petit bucket out with no more sticky inside. I could not use it after I bought it.

I washed the inside with Avon bubble bath and it smell so good right now.

I can't wait to see all the pics! And so much nicer for you because it didn't cost a fortune to fix it!

The seller told of the sticky vuittonite lining. It had a slight smell, it was gross, but that can be fixed!
I had read, either on the net or here that in humid climates the vuittionite lining that has a reaction to the heat/humidity, making the bag peel and become sticky. I personally think its the glue like chemicals they use to make the lining...

I didn't have a clue on how to clean the GM bag, and now I've done 3 more bags with the same sticky! All came out the same!

When you use Simple Green to clean the bag the lining will come clean and it looks like the dust/sleeper bag, and it smells like Simple green!

I'm getting ready to load pics of my pre-loved PM bucket tote! All clean, no bad smell, No Sticky!!

Jeans- I love looking at your photos! You do a great job giving new life to a bag that couldn't be used anymore! Every LV should be so lucky! I have never bought pre owned but have looked at some discontinued Epis with the sticky, peeling pockets and I am too much of a wimp to try a fix-it. Have you ever tried to fix the inside pocket of an Epi? I would love to know how you would tackle something like that. In the meantime, keepthe photos coming!
Also, I have a sister who also buys everything I buy. It's really nice of you to rehab your sister's bags!

Thank you mandybear, I wish I could save them all!
I have been looking at some of the wallets on eBay, boy they are trashed... I can't think of a way to fix a peeling pocket other than to put a piece of fabric inside the pocket, I've seen pictures of people doing that. I would myself try the Simple Green trick... And I'd live with the outcome of cleaning it! At least it wouldn't be sticky anymore! Love the Epi Noe bags!
I have a wallet and Epi Noe GM & PM on my wish list..

I buy things my twin sister has also, I just figure we both have good taste! :-)
I taught her so now she can rehab her own!

I am tempted to try the Simple Green, on the peely black lining of the Epi items. The funny thing is these items are basically unusable as is, but are still what I would consider to be kind of pricey. I know what my new Epi items cost, and $400.00 is a fraction of the price, but still kind of a lot if you can't use it and aren't sure it is going to respond to the Simple Green. But I am really curious as to how it would turn out!

Here is my speedy 35 the handles were greyish when I got them.
I took it to a bag repair shop, they added a little color, I took it home and added leather conditioner to the handles ...I bought a lock today loving itImageUploadedByPurseForum1375917967.880057.jpg

So I wanted a speedy then I didn't then maybe. So I bought a pre loved just to see if I really like them. Ok here are some pics:

these are the eBay auction pics. She has been authenticated by the wonderful Lee.

I got a few tips from JeansNmycloset too. Big thank you!

These are the after pics:
I used some dishwashing liquid on a magic eraser. In case there was lotion or whatever on the handles.

Then after a day of it drying, I used some leather cleaner. Then finally some leather conditioner. Inside was not very bad so I just used baby wipes and put a dryer sheet inside while it dried. So this is my 15 yr old speedy;
