I just turned my Neverfull over to measure the length of the base (because I am looking at Hermes bags and need to compare sizes to what I am used to) and I discovered a crack in the vinyl--not on the base, but just before the main part of the bag joins the base. I never noticed this before because I never look at the bottom of the bag.

How does this happen? I've never gotten caught in the rain or anything. Will they do anything for me if I take this back to the LV shop where I purchased it? I've probably had it for two years.

I am so very sad.:crybaby:

Forgot to say the crack is about an inch long and you can see the white part.

Hi all -- Need your help urgently. Very interested in this EPI Saint Cloud PM purse I found on eBay however the inner patch pocket and the outside back pocket is peeling and sticky. How are those areas typically restored, and for how much money are we looking at?

Thanks so much for your help.

Here's my Cabas Mezzo rescue. It had horrible water stains. An entire bottle of water leaked in my bag and I didn't realize it until the hideous damage was complete. I haven't used this bag in years because of the water marks. These are the BEFORE photos. The last photo is during cleaning - scary looking I know. The top portion of that photo is the part that's being cleaned.

Here are the AFTER photos. I used the magic eraser on the water marks first. Then protected & conditioned with LMB's LV kit. The vachetta is slightly darker now but the color is even and the stains are almost unnoticeable. I used a damp but very ringed out magic eraser and really went at it. Not very hard pressure but definitely went over the area for several minutes. Once the area dried, I assessed the stain and repeated the process until I was satisfied with the result. Then I used LMB's vachetta protection and vachetta conditioner creams. Now I can wear her again and show her off.

She's great now after the makeover. I've been carrying her around the last couple of days and she feels like a new bag! I first got her in 2003 and she sat in my closet for almost 6-7 years after the water accident, so it's great to be able to carry her again.

I'm so happy i found this thread! I recently scored a vintage speedy and was worried the handles might be a bit too dark for my liking. But you guys have inspired me. I'll be sure to post b & a pics when it comes.

I found out today that LV most likely won't replace the vachetta on my vintage St. Cloud, which is now dry and peeling. Prior to taking it in I scoured the canvast for any obvious cracks, and since I didn't find any I thought it could be repaired, but the person who evaluates pieces for repair did find minor cracking underneath where the flap folds over. They were nearly invisible to me, but upon closer inspection the cracks were definitely there. She said that even though they don't normally recommend it, I should try taking it to a leather shop to see if they can repair it. For now the bag sits in retirement, until I figure out what to do.

what a great thread!

is LV able to touch up pieces with screens printed on them, like the graffiti, MOCA hands design, and groom etc. there are a few spots where the paint has flaked on some of my pieces.

thanks!!
