Just got a 2013 LV EPI Neverfull Black. I plan to wipe it down using acetone, dye it using fiebing's pro black, repeat those two steps until I'm satisfied with the color then coat it with fiebings leather sheen to bring the luster back. Lastly, I'll moisturize it with the Coach leather moisturizer (unless anyone has a better moisturizer recommendation). Not sure if the last step will be necessary but we shall see. I'll post before and after pictures. Wish me luck
Looking forward to seeing your photos!

I've bought a Trousse 23 some time back from Japan seller eLady and only had the chance to clean it up lately. I was too excited to work on it and forgot to take before photos. But it was really grubby, tired-looking canvas and the zipper - totally dull and super tarnished and sticky. I normally use brasso for mild tarnish on hardwares but it didn't work for this zipper. So I tried the Cape Cod polishing cloth for the first time and very happy with the results!! For the canvas I used 3M leather and vinyl restorer. Now she is all clean and freshened up, ready to be used!

Thanks for letting me share

Hello! Swapped an LV bag with my mum that I never carried for one that I could use an everyday bag. I decided on her Boulogne which is gorgeous but needs some sprucing up. There are a couple of small cracks in the canvas due to improper storage but I hope that It wont get any new ones as I will make sure to store it properly. I would like to get everyone’s opinion on what would be the best way to get the leather that meets the handle to the bag to lay flat again, and any other suggestions on how to clean it. I don’t need it took like new, I just want to save it from any further damage!

I have acquired a pre-1980’s trocadero 30 with a broken strap. I tried fixing it but it just didn’t look good anymore. The leather was crumbling when I sew it and the previous owner lost the part that broke, so I couldn’t even glue it back. So I decided to make my own strap. I bought a vachetta strap at our leather store and copied the strap style of the Cartouchierre. I used the buckle from the old strap and bought brass buttons.

The new strap looks great!

Hi everyone, I'm hoping for some help cleaning the alcantara lining inside of a vintage Babylone please. Everything I've found so far refers to pulling the lining out of softer bags and cleaning it with dawn/warm water. Since my lining is not able to be removed, I'm trying to seek out alternatives please. Any help is greatly appreciated!

I am sharing a rehab of my LV red mini monogram Josephine PM bag. I bought in for $100. It was extremely dirty with brown marks all over it and I figured for $100 I would take a chance. I used Woolite carpet and upholstery foam with a toothbrush to wet it and gently scrub it. I then used a damp white cloth to rinse it and I repeated the process until it was as clean and rinsed as I could get it. I then stuffed it with towels and let it air dry to reshape the bag. I was also careful to not get the red leather wet, as I have heard that dye may come off onto the canvas. I think it came out great. I have worked on it a bit more since these photos and most of the stains have faded to where you can no longer see them. The photos are before and afters.

Thank you! I hope this gives others some courage to try and rehab these fabric bags. This has been my new hobby; I buy the bags off ebay (Japan sellers) or thrift store (Coach brand) and try to clean or dye them until they look nearly brand new. It is fun and definitely addictive!
