Hi everyone! I got my very first LV last month— she’s vintage and I bought her off of Poshmark. She is a mono Speedy from 1983 ( I turn 30 this year so I wanted a bag from the decade I was born in). She needs a new zipper, zipper pull & keyhole tab. Any ideas on how much this might possibly run? I love the patina— the honey color just warms my heart lol

Your post was almost a month ago, so perhaps you already have your answer.

The cost of the repair will be very expensive. If you search this thread replacing all the leather is something like 50-60% of the cost of a new bag. That doesn't include replacing the area near the zipper. Typically the zipper tab replacement is free. There is a possibility given the age that LV will decline the repair.

Hello,
I've found a vintage speedy that I'd like to rehab - the vachetta is an acceptable colour to me, there is no cracking of the canvas plus it comes with the lock and key. I really like this bag!

However I'm not sure about the rip by the zipper as seen in the picture below. Is this possible to repair, and if so how would you suggest going about it?

I looked inside my speedy to see what that is. That's not part of the zipper, it's actually the inside trim that secures the piping.

I would send the pics to a handbag repair company and get their opinion.

Nice work. What do you recommend I use in the microfiber lining of the Caissa hobo? The color is rose ballerine. I want to use a microfiber cloth and resolve carpet spray but at being patient for some advice on here before I do it [emoji43]stress I bought it on eBay and it has just lite dirt on the edges. Thanks [emoji1431]

Hi! Post some photos of it so I know what needs fixing. Although I dont know what to recommend for the linning; most of the ones I restore just needed some wiping with sanitizong cloths/wipes.

I found out that this is the same material in my car seats so I bought this product called Sonax made in Germany that is specifically for it. I’ll tell you how it goes!
