Thanks for the reply speedah! I just couldn't bare the tightness all around (so much for me psyching myself into feeling comfy with them) it so I ordered the size 41. I should be fine going a size up with the Rolando's right? I want to be able to dance and be comfy on my bday!

The Rolandos can vary for a lot of people. Check the sizing thread for more specific info but I think the general consensus is half size up.

Great thread OP, thank you for posting.

I received some python simples recently and while the heel height is just perfect the shoes are just a bit too tight. I'm going to try just stuffing the socks for a few days and if that doesn't work, I'll try the alcohol on the inside.

Oooo! Python stretches really easily (especially once warmed slightly with a hairdryer) so it may only take a few wears to break them in- you may not need to do all the extra work with the socks and alcohol. When I got my Jaws initially they were really tight but after a few wears they fit like a glove and now they're almost big. Hope that helps.

I've *just* tried the heating method with my socks on my very newly-bought (not worn even once) patent New Simples and I have to say it WORKS LIKE A CHARM!

It definitely saved me many days and hours of agony trying to break in and stretch the toe box. This is amazing. Thank you for the tips!! <3

hey girls i have a ustion about shoe stretching, i bought the spray (its still in the mail) but once you stretch the shoes with the stretching spray how long does it last? i assume it goes back after a while unless you keep on doing it right? what about the professional stretching, is that more permanent, does it make a bigger difference in the amount stretched? i have a pair of suede pumps that are a whole size too small but i refuse to part with them lol...whats my best bet? THANKS!

I have the same questions, I just bought the Clarks leather stretching spray for leather and suede and the reviews say it works really well. I'm trying to stretch out the peep toe on my new Treopli booties, they are just too tight and crush my toes so I am hoping it will work out. It needs to be stretched a lot so should I try the spray with the socks and try the heating with a hairdryer or is the heating not for suede?

The spray is formulated to make the stretching process easier- it won't make the shoes "shrink back" once stretched. It's basically the same as the alcohol method but the same results can be achieved (with a bit more work/pain) without the spray as far as I know.

Lorna, I've never tried the heating with suede but I don't see why it wouldn't work. I would think it would make it more flexible like it does with patent/kid so it would be easier to stretch/form to your foot.

Hope that helps. :smile1:

^^ I've heard professional stretching uses the stretching spray. I only use professional stretching when I need some serious help with a pair. If, for the most part it's manageable, I just do it myself.

so you have used the professional help and you were happy with the results? mine are a full size too small and they are suede, they should be able to help me right? id really prefer to let a professional do it i think

I went up a size in the Rolandos from my normal euro size. I'm 9.5 in US, 40 euro, and 41 in rolandos and it was super comfy. The platform makes the heel way more bearable for all-night wear. I've got a friend who went a size and a half up (so from 38 euro to 39.5)

The Rolandos can vary for a lot of people. Check the sizing thread for more specific info but I think the general consensus is half size up.

I used the stretching spray and sock method on my No Prive 90 sling-back pumps. I also wore them around the house while doing laundry, making beds & washing dishes. It worked like a charm.
