I am also going to be trying these techniques on a new pair that I bought on ebay that are a little small in the toe. I am debating whether to just ball up some socks and leave them in for a week or walk around the house with socks on to stretch the toe box. I think wearing them with socks on will work faster, but I don't want to put any added "wear" on a brand new pair of shoes!

I tried the two options and for me walking aroung in socks in my CLs is not working at all, even after doing it for at least one our for 4 days.
The other option, after a week of stuffed socks works like a charm ;)

I did this with my WS Bianca for 3 days and the toe box is much nicer ... I am currently doing it with my Mago ... due to the pitch my toes crunch in the toe box. I don't want them stretched TOO much so I am going to check them nightly ... but yes, this trick does work.

I bought the new Beauty 100 leather pumps in IT 40 (I'm a UK 6,5 or EUR 40.5). Appearantly they run 1/2 size small, therefore I bought them in IT 40.

The toebox is awfully tight! The length is good, maybe an ickle bit too big (I will try a heel grip). I stuffed them with socks, and hopefully they have been stretched 4 days...

Does leather stretch a lot or..?

LDs are coming along nicely ... I put larger sox in the toe box and wore them with socks for a few hours last night then took off the sox and wore them bare footed. Much nicer. Same with the Mago ... I think a few more days and the Mago will be perfection. The LDs are just about there too. Wearing those out tomorrow night and I think they will be fine (once I get them on upstairs at the club that is). Sock trick is a godsend!

I´ve just tried the "thick sock in toe-box trick", and it really worked. I bought the Pigalle 100 patent in 39, but could have used 39,5. Ive tried walking around it them at home, but I didn´t get the results I wanted.
So I tried balling up a thick sock in the shoe, and leaving it to rest, using one of the plastic-"sticks" that comes with the shoes, that holds the paper in the toe box...KWIM? (I dont know the english word - Or the danish word :D - for that stick). Anyway I used the stick to keep the sock as firmly pressed into the toe-box as possible.

So, I let it sit there for 24 hours, and now the shoes are sooooo comfortable! Problem solved!! YAY!
I can see that the seams at the back of the shoes has loosened a little bit on one of the shoes (because the stick was pressed up against the back of the shoes), so Im glad I only let it sit there for 1 day, instead of 1 week like I originally planned! Just a little "warning", that you keep an eye on it if you want to do the same trick (it hasn´t damaged the shoe, but I thought I´d just mention it)

I actually just jam the socks in the toebox without the stick.

I do need to invest in little shoe trees though and get the tissue paper that came with the shoe out of the toe boxes.

I bought some Brand New Alti 140mm in a size 40. My TTS is 40 so I should have sized up half a size. I have wide feet so the toe box is really tight...so tight in fact that I can't get socks on and the shoes on! Should I just return or should I try to stretch the toe box? I think I might try the balled up method...:shrugs:

I'm walking around in my house in my alti 160's to break them in. I tried 2 different sizes and the toe box felt the same to me in both. They were only half a size different. I would try stretching them before you return them. This is I think my 3rd time just walking/sitting around the house and they already feel better!

I've been using the sock trick on my Lady Clou's and it is working...slowly but surely.

Do Italian women really have much smaller feet and do they go through the things we have to for these shoes?!

I had the same issue as you. I bought my nude patent alti 140's TTS. The toebox on the alti's are tight. First I tried the hair dryer trick. Worked a little bit but it still needed more. I then used a shoe stretcher for both shoes, stretched as tight as I dared and left it in for 4 days/nights. After that, they stretched perfectly. I now store them with shoe trees in them and half socks over the shoe trees, to keep it stretched when not in use :D
