I have more smooth bangles than carved bangles, but it is pretty close, haha! For the D and princess non-carved, fit on the wrist matters more to me. For carved, I let my eyes do the picking, though it is nice to find carved bangles that fit well. I want to say the black carved bat bangle is around a 52mm? I don't remember. I got it from a random seller years ago. It's loose when I'm closer to a proper weight, I could get it on/off without lotion before. It's definitely wider than my lavender bangle which I got from UJ early on in my collecting and is a straight 51mm.

Here's some reposts of it. I think it shows how lighting makes such a difference, even for a black bangle.

Also, I got this new bangle (the bottom green one) from a random draw. It was pretty inexpensive, so I decided to wear it with my other sacrificial lamb, Weiss. I love the sound they make, and I like how they look together. I won’t be doing this with my other bangles though. Itl be interesting to see if theres actually any damage after a while.
Great looking stack! They make a nice contrast.

I love how jade sounds together, too. The weight and coolness feels nice. I liked to stack my bangles when I first started collecting, though I don't stack so much anymore. When I first got my black bat, it didn't feel truly like "mine" until I paired it with Leaf (pic 3-7 in my previous post).

To be honest, the only time I oil my bangles is when I first get them. I used to rotate them enough that the oils from my skin and the lotions I wear kept them nice. I also wore them in the shower, so they'd get soaped and conditioned and rinsed same as me. Since I'm too fat to wear my smaller bangles now, I'll just take them out every now and then and I'll handle them a bit. So far, so good.

Thank you! I did message Nandar about it. Basically, I couldn’t choose between the two rings I liked, and UJ actually offered me a very attractive price if I buy both ($318 whilst each ring was $180) but then at the same time, Nandar went and increased the price tag on one of those rings, the icy jade one, to $250. When I asked her about it, she told me that as she was taking photos for me, she realized the price was set too low because this icy jade ring turned out to be of a higher quality. After this, I told her I won’t be making a purchase if the original price has changed so dramatically so she offered me to buy this ring at its original price, $180. I am now very confused and don’t know if I should go for it or not make any purchases from this seller. It could be an honest mistake but it still seems sketchy to me. I’d really appreciate any advice:confused1:
Hi, I was thinking of getting some rings from her. Did you end up purchasing and how was the rest of the experience?

My father is an avid jade collector and has been showing me bits and pieces of his collection ever since I was little. I never paid too much attention to his hobbies. Recently, I traveled interstate to visit my family and he gifted me a jadeite pendant. I thought to myself 'this looks unusual, but not really my cup of tea. I'll wear it for a bit but likely it's going to end up in a draw somewhere.'

Strangely enough as soon as I wore it, I felt a sense of calm. Then the days that followed I became more and more attached to it. I have worn it ever since...

I think I've caught the jade bug. It crept up on me slowly but surely... I've bought two jade bangles in the last few days. One hinged jadeite bangle and the other is a carved (supposedly hetian) jade bangle.

Just wanted to say that I've enjoyed reading everyone's personal thoughts on jade (it took me weeks to read this entire thread). Seems like the love of jade is universal.

Omg!!! Your jade pieces are absolutely beautiful and I love your pendant, may I ask where did you get your pendant and earring from?
Thanks so much! Both are from Little Jadeite House. They have a website but the best is to build up a relationship with them via IG by DMing them and also through WhatsApp. They hold IG live shows about every 2 weeks and they always have so many goodies to choose from. The owner, Jay, is a pleasure to work with. They also do bespoke pieces but my earrings and pendant were ready-made :D

I think it’s an honest mistake. I’ve bought a few bangles and an abacus ring from her before and she has been a good seller. The abacus ring I bought from her was priced at $880 and she offered me a discount of 10% which I wasn’t expecting and she gave me a barrel I’d been eyeing too as a free gift

Ahhhh! Thank you!!! I will definitely check them out! I’m slowly starting to build up my collection but shopping online is so scary but I’m glad to see that their pieces are all certified and from a reputable place!

Omg that’s so sweet! I see people mentioning she usually include a free ring as well, I guess it’s still jadeite but lower quality? Would you be comfortable showing the ring you got + barrel? you always have the prettiest pieces!

Has anyone brought from GREENDEERbymui on Etsy?

I saw one person here did years ago and they did their own home testing but I was just wondering if anyone recently can attest to the quality and if it’s really untreated. They have such cute traditional pieces mixed a slight modern twist.
