Your cheapy bangle may turn out to be your favorite! That happened to me. For some reason the ones I spent less are are the ones I wear the most, and when you wear them all the time they do get shinier with the oils in your skin and being under water lots.
Congratulations!! I'm excited to see photos of you wearing it. :)

It's funny that you mention about the jade getting better the longer you wear it. This actually reminds me of the first time I had my secret passion for Jade. My high school Chinese (Taiwanese) teacher always wore hers. Of course at the time, I felt too strongly about the gender roles but that didn't keep me shy for keep asking her about it.

She often said the longer you wear the 玉鐲 (yu-zhuo / Jade bracelet) the more pretty it gets. My high school Laoshi (teacher) really was and continues to be like a second Mom to me, she was always great and really is really nice to go out and occasionally have dinner with her. Always has a smile and just as a bonus wear her fashionable Jade everywhere.

:D

:p I am really excited rest assure. I will do my best to do model pictures when it arrives, that if I can even get it on.

Maybe if I'm lucky I'll get it by Friday. I only receive my mail Monday through Friday sadly.

Oh your bag is stylish, but why is there an American Eagle on a German branded bag?

I feel such like a girl right now :graucho: as I am about to say this. Recently I went out with a Taiwanese friend for some shopping. I was planning on investing into a new lens at some point but I didn't expect to just casually spend 1400$ USD that day. So I bought a 1300 camera lens it's awesome and really good at taking pictures but I also needed to buy a camera bag.

When I tell you I looked at over 50 bags and this one was the best price for the best well-made bag, I'm not joking. The only down side, is it Hell Kitty branded, but then again... Who doesn't like an adorable cat face?

My BF only wears women's wallets because they have more room in them. It's good to be a man with tons of self confidence! I love that bag!

Who doesn't like Hello Kitty?! :p

You're still very young so it's great you're all over the board with finding out what you like! Sometimes you have to go through phases to end up knowing what you like. To keep it within jade context, I've recently realized that while I still adore my more dramatic jadeite bangles, I tend towards my more solid color ones - Maya (nearly solid Guatemalan black jadeite) is my current go to and is in my avatar. But I may not have realized that I truly prefer solids unless I tried the dramatic ones, too.

Hi James!

There are few interesting places in Taipei which you can view some jades.

1. The Jade Market
2. Museum of Jade Art

Oh thanks, I'll read this right now.

Also, for you ladies (I apologize if I don't know the gender ratio on here well enough I think I'm the only guy as of right now actively chatting in this thread) If you like Jade of all types not just the ones your put on as accessories: I recently went to 故宮博物館 National Palace Museum.

The National Palace Museum, has a great jade exhibit. If you ever come to Taiwan it is must see. If you don't know the super simple overview of Taiwanese history. When their founder fled from China because his political party lost the war, he "took" all the best pieces of artwork.

So everything in the museum is super precious and the rarest of it's kind. I would imagine most of you are Europeans or Americans and you can visit Taiwan without a VISA unlike China.

But if you do find your way to China instead they also have a National Palace Museum in Beijing. But are stunning from what I hear but I've personally only ever gone to the Taiwan National Palace Museum.

Here is the link to the national palace museum jade exhibits.

That is great your BF has that confidence! I've often thought I need to buy a slimmer man's wallet to fit into my smaller 'going out' purses! But it's usually more socially accepted for women to use mens' things rather than the other way around so it's not like I'd be much of a rebel here - LOL!

Yeah it's all about experimentation. I think, this is by far the most "radical" thing I've done. But I think it will be the best. I'm even connecting with people online because of similar interests. It is a great feeling!
