The Gabrielle Bag with the charms is finally out. What are the Gabby fans' thoughts? I had it reserved with a boutique when I saw it on the runway and on social media, and hoped that it would be *heavily* tweaked before release.

I like it...but might be a bit too pop culture for me. Especially with the "Chanel" inside the candle. What do you all think?

Thanks to the "What have you seen" players for allowing me to mercilessly jack their photos for my own selfish perusal.

Pretty but too trendy for me. I love the regular Gabrielle bags but I could not see myself buying this one. But if someone loves it and it makes their heart sing, they should rock it.

I'm sorry, but it's a pass. Either I'm too old or boring, but it is not my style. For those of you who like it and/or buy it, enjoy!

Hmmm it's fun and unique but I think the plain one will be more versatile and usable. I'm personally planning to get the black small hobo [emoji5]

Hi Pearliious02,
I saw the black/black in medium at the boutique today and wondering if you can shed some light on the wear/tear of your bag, although yours is the small size.
Do you find or do you think that over time, the top part of the bag will sag down a lot? It's suppose to be more of a hobo style and medium will have more area for sagging but I prefer it to not sag too much. A little bit of sagging will be ok but I'm not sure if I'd like a bag that will soften so much over time.
Also, do you find that wearing the bag with chains on both sides of your shoulders is annoying (one set across your chest and one set of chains on the other shoulder)?

Hi! Just a quick update (Thanks for asking [emoji4])...
The Gabrielle is my go-to casual bag. It's very carefree and to be honest, I don't baby her as much as my other minis.
With regards to wear & tear, so far so good [emoji106]The soft part of the bag doesn't really slouch when you are carrying it because of the weight of the bag extending it down.
I do however make it a point to stuff it full if I am not using it. [emoji16]
Lastly, I enjoy carrying the Gabrielle with the 2 straps! In fact, I do that too with my Gucci Dionysus[emoji6]1489904787766.jpeg

I have the medium. It sags a little (from softening), but it will never be floppy because of the way it's carried (weighted on the bottom) and as written above by Pearlicious, as long as it's stuffed when not being used.

My Gabrielle has experienced the ultimate in abuse. I was at IKEA when a dad with three kids and a shopping cart (allowing his very young daughter to push the cart) ran right into the side of the base of my Gabrielle with the metal corner of the cart. I cringed, accepted his apology and told my daughter I wasn't going to look at the bag until I got out to the car. I wanted to be sitting in private.

I was surprised. It was dinged, but barely. The leather was scuffed a little, but with a little spit and a rub, it didn't look bad. At home I used Cadillac conditioner and it looks great. Just looking at the bag, you can't even tell- you have to be "up close" inspecting it to see any damage. The nature of the aged calfskin 1/2 of the bag helps offset imperfect blemishes in the base, too. It already has that worn/casual vibe. I am impressed by its ability to withstand a run in with a cart. I thought the leather would have torn away from the resin base material. I am totally impressed.

Your calmness is lovely! I also had a mishap with the base of my shopping tote and was amazed at the lack of damage. So far it seems like a total workhorse bag!
