Regarding the scratches: The black medium Gabrielle on display at 57th NYC in early July had a huge scratch on the bottom, so I asked about it. The SA said, “We would never sell that one, but Chanel can replace the entire bottom piece.” Hope this helps someone to know that if you have a problem, that piece could be replaced.

Bought my Gabrielle in med black only a little over a month ago and have carried her out only a handful of time since then.
Can’t believe this happened today... the Chanel logo handle has fallen off the zipper end. Looks like a screw has come loose and fallen off.
This happened at Zara where the male sales assistant chivalrously picked up the sad looking CC handle off the floor with a look of concern, “did it just break? Oh no... looks like it’s lost half it’s value”

Go back to your boutique and demand it to be fixed! Seems like the screw came loose and now it’s missing. Happened to one of my bag from other brand before. It’s an easy problem to solve, still, this shouldn’t happen.
Beautiful! The chevron is very unique and chic! The base is so reflective I can see the words Chanel off it! Love the feeling of brand new shiny bags haha!
I didn't even notice the reflection until you mentioned it! I'm a not bummed at the price increase but at least it wasn't available on Chevron before! I think the Chevron makes this bag even edgier!
