You’re right , even though I love the Gabrielle ( hobo and backpack) but unfortunately the hard base of the Gabrielle is sensitive and gets scratched easily ....

You know , my hobo bag is OK . But the backpack got scratched .. :(
So, I'm trying to not use it it much though it is my favorite bag. I guess it is easier to get scratched because the base is much wider than the hobo.

One of the youtubers " Bipolar " said it's gonna scratch because of the nature of the leather of the base and she is right. We have to accept that fact but still I don't want my favorite bag get ruined.

I can understand. I think might be also for backpack, u will either carry it at the back or the side, so it will swing more and bump into things more easily too.

When using my hobo, I will tend to carry it crossbody and keep it infront to avoid bumping into people or things.

Yup, agreed with u as scatches are inevitable but I really don’t bear to see it ruined and I get small heart attack whenever I accidentally bump the base.

I think it’s quite hard to remove the scratch cause of the smooth leather. And some scratches on the base will be like ripples or cause the smooth leather to peel a little.

I don’t use any leather condition for my chanel bags cause I’m worried if it’s suitable or it will get worse. But I heard that perhaps u can try bag spa or restoration for the scatches. And once i saw on YouTube that some leather conditioner can helps to remove colour transfers on light coloured Gabrielle like the beige/white.
