The ❤Gabrielle❤ Bag: It's a HIT!!

I thought I might be nuts, but I did the same thing too!! The Gabrielle hits a lot of buttons for me in terms of functionality, cross body wearability, security with zipper, etc. Saks was having a triple points event but only had the large size, so I had to get that for work days and days when I need to carry more, and my boutique had the medium so I decided to go for that to wear for travel, sightseeing, weekends, etc. I'm thinking why do I need two more black bags? But it makes sense to me right now. I would not want to go larger or smaller than these two sizes. The small and mini seem like they would be difficult to access due to the opening and I gotta say that the large gets heavy when I put all my stuff in it. Perhaps the elongated shape just makes it seem heavier than other bags I have. I don't think I could go for the XL. Enjoy your new bags!!:drinks:

You could not have said it better! So glad you feel the same way...

Does anyone have the white/black version of the Gabrielle? It is stunning, but I am worried about potential yellowing of the glazed ivory calfskin. Anyone have any experience with yellowing of their white calfskin Chanel bags or Gabrielle?

I am thinking if I can locate the beige/black that might be better and less likely to change color over the years.

So close to pulling the trigger on this bag. I'm stalking it everywhere, but concerned about wear and tear. There's a beige one on Fashionphile right now and the bottom is HORRIBLE. It's scuffed up so bad that now I'm not sure if I want to spend the money. Granted I'm careful with my bags, but it would drive me nuts if that happened. Ugh...not sure what to do. Love the look of this bag.

Oh no! I just looked at it and my goodness it does look bad, look at the side of it where the chain strap connects! It is even worse than the bottom. For the price that should not happen. I still love this bag's design and functionality, currently more than my Evelyne, which is a true work horse.

I think big cities in Europe have better stock such as Paris (of course) and London. However, there is also only one Chanel boutique in Hamburg and Berlin so it's quite difficult to get hold of popular style especially if we are not local customers

I am still asking around and hope I can find one this season...fingers crossed!
Try Munich ;) They just got a restock last week Friday. Good luck!

I feel the same way and love my Evelyne! I may go try this in in black.

Dear pink orchid20, thank you for the info! I wrote to the SA I worked with before and she will keep me updated once they receive the bag  So now I have two hopes - Munich and Berlin, fingers crossed!
Awesome! Good luck! Munich usually has pretty good stock for Gabrielles. Don't think you should have to wait too long

Both, actually ;) But yeah, I also just asked for new stock as I am planning to exchange my light purple one for black or any other neutral color that might come for cruise or the upcoming collections.
Oh you are exchanging the purple one? I have always had black distressed calf in my mind so the purple rainbow hardware isn't on my radar. Do you live in Munich? I know Berlin has the launch of the new collection tomorrow, guess Munich is the same? I heard that Munich has always pretty good stock, for me the closest boutique is Hamburg and they rarely have any popular style......

Most stuff actually already arrived in Munich last week. I passed by by coincidence and was surprised to see the new collection had already launched as I had been told something around September 21st. Munich doesn't always order the popular styles in the most neutral colours since we have lots of tourists passing by, actually purchasing pretty colourful bags. I've had lots of luck with Hamburg on things such as classic flaps, boys and minis in neutral colours and always feel they order more "conservative" styles which appeal to me most of the time. Never tried Berlin, though, because I usually get what I want here in Munich (and the boutique is just a 15min drive from my office and 20mins from home ;)).
Yes, I think I will exchange it. I am rarely using my mermaid boy and although the 2 can't be compared, I am struggling sometimes with pairing the mermaid boy, especially during fall and winter. The light purple makes it even harder for me and I feel I will have enough of that bag pretty quickly. If I lived in a warmer climate, this might be completely different as I feel it's beautiful with my summer clothes but just need a bag I can wear throughout the whole year.

Oh I didn't know they already got some stock in last week! I am really hoping to get my hands on the black Gabrielle this coming collection. I saw it in March but wasn't sure about it and couldn't find it again every since :(

The stores I have contact with are Venice, Berlin and Munich but Venice has mostly the seasonal style I guess also due to the tourists. It's such a shame we don't have any Chanel boutique in Denmark so I can only shop when I travel, and it is quite hard to plan around their launch date......

I agree with you the light purple is as pretty as it is but maybe not as versatile and practical as other neutral colors. I would also exchange for a neutral color as Gabrielle is supposed to be care free and easy to pair in my opinion.

If you happen to see the small black Gabrielle in store, please let me know! :)
