Does anyone know how this bag in black with the distressed leather will work in rain/snow etc...?

Mine was soaking wet once (unintentionally of course; it was like a 5 min walk to the car and I did have an umbrella but the light shower somehow turned into torrential rain midway ) Anyhow the aged calf bit was totally fine after I wiped it dry. The smooth black part at the bottom turned into toad skin, though, and I almost had a heart attck. However, after a couple of days it returned to its normal state as if nothing ever happened

That's good to know thank you so much., I really want this bag to be carefree type of bag that I can use for travel more casual outings Etc so that sounds good

Is the Gabrielle bag a permanent line?

I guess with all the PR they want it to be, but i suppose it depends on sales... the girl bag was meant to be permanent but it vanished

Once again, Fashionphile has two- one medium all black, and one black and white small, I think.
This is the only place I've seen the all black Gabrielle appear for sale, lately.

If it helps I was told last weekend by a SA in Harrods that the all black hobo is part of the 'core' Gabrielle collection so should be making a reappearance again 'soon' (in her words!) when stock is replenished. I don't know how soon 'soon' means though!
