Obviously, people would pay $3k+ for a bag that reads CHANEL in bright bold colorful letters (not my gig, but hey it would be fun and funky), but GABRIELLE? I would assume those who don't know much about the actual Chanel designs would think Chanel is doing a 'make your own bag' with your name on it (if they happened to see the CC zip pull), like the Coke cans. I would also think that when carrying it, strangers would assume that Gabrielle is your name? Like "hey, I saw that Gabrielle at Jamba Juice today". Or "hey, that gal's name at Starbucks ordering the 15 step latte is Gabrielle!" Or in bars, "so hey yeah Gabby, can I buy you a drink?" Utterly, utterly confusing. :facepalm:

The four different color chains are in ruthenium, silver, aged gold and shiny gold. It's not too obvious but kind of cool.

Size-wise, it's about an inch higher than the original Gabrielle backpack (and cost about US$400 more). Here's a comparison with my new-medium Boy. The backpack definitely holds more than the Boy but dimensions-wise they are close.

Here is a quickie modelling shot. (I'm 5'5" and US 6) I find it a good size on me. Sorry for the bad lighting.

I really love this bag! As others have said, the aged calf and bag design makes the bag feel much more carefree and I can't wait to start wearing it!

I was in the Chanel boutique in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, and they still have the Gabrielle in the small, medium and large; they also have the Gabrielle tote. For anyone who is interested their number is 561-622-2055, I work with Barbara, but anyone there can help, they are super nice!
