How about the Black color? Do you happen to see it in store recently? I occasionally saw seasonal colors in my local store but never saw the Black one.
I didn't see black. There was a shortage of all black items when I went. Have you checked Fashionphile? There are a bunch listed for below retail. This bag doesn't hold its value as well as the classic flaps and I believe you can find a decent deal on the second hand market.
For those who own the gabby backpack or hobo, does anyone own both? I’ve been eying the backpacking for years now, and only got the hobo in 2020 in black iridescent. I want the backpack though.,..

Hi all, just wanted to know what your experiences are with the wear and tear of the Gabrielle? Mainly concerned with the slouching of the leather as I've seen some bad photos. Also it seems like the chevron holds its shape more than quilted but unsure if this is true?

I have the so black chevron in small from 2019 and it’s held up well. I think the slouching happens more with the bigger size as the upper leather is so much softer than the sturdy base. The leather is usually distressed though so any slouching is hardly noticeable, esp if you have your stuff inside.
Thank you! Reading my message back and it's full of typos oops lol. Do you use your so black chevron often? I initially thought I liked the beige/black combo but the black alone is quite subtle and discreet for when I don't want to wear my classic flap
I have the old medium/new large size (quilted) and after a year, mine isn’t slouchy. IMO, it comes down to how you store it (I leave mine laying down on its side and flip it every few weeks). The chains are heavy and the upper leather is only so stiff, so overtime, some slouching is bound to happen (thanks gravity)…but it’s not as noticeable when you’re using it.
I have a small so black chevron and there’s no sagging. I always stuff it after each use and the small size just keeps shape better I think.
