My souvenir from the New York meet up arrived. C'est la fete in red. It's not labeled rouge h but as you can see from the photo with my bracelet its rouge h. The best photo for color accuracy is the last one with my Chanel jacket. What does everyone think? DH and I differ on it. I like it because it doesn't have to be the star of the show and will mix well with my other clothing, Chanel jacket as a prime example. DH thinks why spend a lot of money on something that isn't the star of the show? I see his point. But I like it. Reds that work for me are difficult to find. I think I'll reach for this one a lot. I know many of us were excited for this design and then felt let down to discover it was an etching, so I'd love to hear people's honest opinions about It. I think I'm keeping mine. Special thanks to bed head for her inspiration and encouragement.

It's a beautiful deep red with a quiet design and you need this for your jacket. You wouldn't want a scarf that totally distracts from it!
I bought the Dallet with the red trim for the same purpose but this one is even a better choice.
I find it difficult to resist beautiful multicolour designs but sometimes the reality of my wardrobe makes them difficult to wear to their right. [emoji22]

I think it's lovely - and now I'm going to have to check it out in store because I'd like a red or burgundy scarf that isn't too dark (oh it never ends)

PBP, this is a keeper! It is really quite wonderful with your neutrals pictured here. And my DH is exactly the same, he feels why spend so much $$ on a scarf/shawl that doesn't make a big impact. I try to remind myself of the lovely assistant manager at the DC boutique who, when I was questioning my purchase of the blue panthera shawl, reminded me that I am building a "scarf wardrobe" so not everything has to be big, bright and bold (what I am naturally drawn too lol!).

Thank you Bova. Wise words. I am in love with the simplicity of it. I'm keeping it. [emoji4] now I want fall to come soon.

I think it's super-cool, and looks great on you!

Well, there ya go! Why spend money on something that isn't the star of the show? Because you love it. Also, three words: cost per wear. It works with your wardrobe, you adore it, you will wear it a LOT. Suddenly, it's a bargain! It is beautiful; enjoy!

Hi Bova,
I know this is off topic, but I was looking at the blue panthera shawl in my local H store last month. I really like that design but was unable to make any of the other colorways work. There are some scarves where I just love the design flat, but it does not work on me when tied. And other designs, like my green Grand Carosse shawl I wear constantly because it ties so well, but feel pretty "meh" about the design. (Do others have scarves like that??)

Anyway, this blue denim Panthera shawl seems so muted that it could be worn with prints, etc... But I was still a bit uncertain and wondered how often you use this shawl, and if you would purchase again.
Thanks so much!

Thank you both. Mindi I like the way you think! [emoji23]

Hello lucyfan1! I do use my Panthera shawl quite a bit, it functions almost as a neutral-ish shawl for me. It was a bit out of my comfort zone to be honest, but I am very happy that I have it! Here is the link to my post on the Spring 2016 thread with pictures, also I want to be sure we are talking about the same blue one...mine has the cream to grey background, not the all over darker blue background. I hope this helps!
