My souvenir from the New York meet up arrived. C'est la fete in red. It's not labeled rouge h but as you can see from the photo with my bracelet its rouge h. The best photo for color accuracy is the last one with my Chanel jacket. What does everyone think? DH and I differ on it. I like it because it doesn't have to be the star of the show and will mix well with my other clothing, Chanel jacket as a prime example. DH thinks why spend a lot of money on something that isn't the star of the show? I see his point. But I like it. Reds that work for me are difficult to find. I think I'll reach for this one a lot. I know many of us were excited for this design and then felt let down to discover it was an etching, so I'd love to hear people's honest opinions about It. I think I'm keeping mine. Special thanks to bed head for her inspiration and encouragement.

Congratulations! This is a beauty. Rouge H doesn't show up in shawls/stoles enough, in my opinion, especially not as the star like this. For a Rouge H lover, this is a must have.

I thought this would be the scarf of the season for me, especially as my longing turns to the simple single-colored (or just about) pieces. But I hear your DH's words and they resonate with me, too.

View attachment 3454912 Came home with a long awaited treasure, Kachinas CSGM CW 32!
I love Kermit Oliver and his work and was dying to get my hands on a reissue, rather than purchasing via reseller. This is my first CSGM and I must say that I prefer them to the silk carres, they are more practical when the weather gets cold and I prefer the way they drape around the neck.
I hope this cw ends up on the US website. My store is not getting it :(
Congrats! Enjoy it. You look great in it!

Congratulations. It's beautiful. My SA told me that once I started with the cashmeres it was all over. She was so right.

Stunning as always. The blue colorway is so lovely!!

Same here! I planned on buying Les Confessions until Balade en Berline brightened my day. It will become my office-gavroche, I like the fresh look.
Yessssssss! Balade is so wonderful tied. I wasn't crazy about Les Confessions when I tried it on.

Unsolicited mod shots! Le Mors à la Conétable c/w 01 ciel/anthracite/marine

Fabulous as you always are, my dear! Your photos show the design much better than h.com. PERFECT with your Chanel suit!

Thanks so much. I have never seen that colorway of ex libris. Can you share a photo? I wear a lot of black and other neutrals. I think I'll wear this exactly as you describe. Sounds like we have similar taste.

I will try to take a picture but it is...black! The pattern is in jaquard. I mistakenly called it cgsm, it is a stole in reality. My bad.

It is my most used shawl/stole. I keep it in my bag the whole time to fend off the A/C in restaurants and offices. I am always cold!

Having similar taste with you would be an honor!

Just as I thought, it looks great with your skin tone. I think it'll be a great go-to for you, and the print is subtle enough that you could wear it to upscale events and nobody would notice the skeleton! I hope you keep it, mostly because I think it is beautiful on you, but also so we can stay twins. :hugs:

Lovely, Croisette. Is this season's Lalbhai silk twill or a twill plume?

It is the thick winter twill, Sickgrl.

This is fabulous on you.
I was offered it last month when i went to the store, and they just received a very few aw2016 items. I absolutely loved it: the colors, the patterns., the thicker twill (i am not a fan of the summer twill).

Then i tried it on and it did not love me back AT ALL

I was shopping with my sister who just gave me a stern look and said a firm "No". I was also wearing a tan dress that recalled some of the patterns! It was still a NO.

Don't you hate when that happens?

Sorry for your disappointment, the design is so pretty. Try another cw which will suit you better, MadMadCat.
