Hi, I thought of getting my very 1st Bayswater. Does anyone know what type of leather this is and whether its worth getting?

Would appreciate your advise! :)

Hi Blackcat - the Bays you picture is in printed Natural Veg Tanned (or NVT) leather.

It's a great leather, hardwearing - but it's more 'stiff' and structured than the non-printed version, so if you like your bags to go slouchy with time, this one won't really do that.

If you like it, I'd say definitely go for it - I have an oak one, which I love!

Thanks, Lady Farquar! You're a great help :)

Hi,
Does anyone have the Daria Hobo handbag made with the spongy leather? My handbag is worn in the part where the ring holds the bag and the shoulder strap together. In fact, the leather seems to be cracking in some places. Is the wear of this leather normal? I've only had this bag for a little over 6 months. Already the bag is falling apart. The grosgrain lining in the bag is also coming apart at the seams. Seller indicates this bag is "authentic" (comes with care cards and dust bag) but I'm having doubts.

I have a medium Oxblood Daria Hobo and the black satchel.
It seems to be quite resilient and there is definitely no cracking.
Maybe you should post some pictures in the authentication thread for the experts to help you out. If it turns out to be a fake and you bought it via credit card you can get a chargeback. If authentic and less than 1 year old then Mulberry should repair for free.

Good luck!!

Hi ladies,

How's the quality of soft buffalo leather on the Alexa? I'm used to very thick leather (e.g., calfskin), so when I got the Alexa in the mail, I was surprised to feel how light it is. Some say it feels cheap, others say the point of soft buffalo leather is supposed to be this light.

Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks!

I was lurking around the m.com site, and came over this useful little guide:

http://www.mulberry.com/#/customerservices/productcareadvice/materialcare/generalnotes

It may be a little help, although nothing compared to the experience the ladies in here have.. ;)

THANK YOU!! I have been obsessively stalking all the possibly helpful threads in this forum and never once did it occur to me to check with Mulberry.

Now I just need to get my grubby little hands on some Collonil so I can start using my new baby.

You're welcome, I was quite pleased myself when I found that guide  My carecards tend to not be where I remembered.
