Le boy always caught my eye the most I guess I prefer structured bags! First chanel bag
My daughter bought a new Chanel for herself and gave me her old one, which was thoroughly used. I know I should send it to the purse spa to be brought back to life, but I'm on a fixed income as a widow and I can't afford that. The most noticeable thing is the missing hardware on the leather shoulder strap -- the 2 screws. Does anyone have a suggestion as to what I might do? Thanks!
Hi everyone! This was my first Chanel purchase not long ago and I love it, I wondered how you guys store yours?

I store mine in its flannel bag on a shelf without being crowded by other bags.

I wondered about that! It seems to me that my Chanel boy bag is very fragile.
It sure seems that way. I scuff the lamb skin on my Boy just by breathing on it, whereas the lamb on my classics feels indestructible by comparison. I think the way the Boy is constructed doesn’t help, being a single flap with a textile lining. Sure, it reduces weight (which is important given the heavy chain), but the Boy veers into flimsy territory. I love this bag at my own peril.

Took the plunge and purchased a preloved (like new!) Chanel Medium Le Boy bag in smooth calfskin with matte gold hardware! Found this beauty on Fashionphile and am so pleased with the style of this bag. I really prefer it over the much hyped Classic Flap bag…don’t like the double flap feature at all. Just gets in the way in my opinion . Classic is the most recognized style but the Boy bags really make a statement on their own as well. I like the style so much I am looking for a Small Boy too!

I am thinking of getting a boy and am wondering if they are going out of style since they have been out for 10 years and the 19 is the new style however I don't like the 19 or the 22. I like the classics for a date night. It seems like the classic minis are the trend right now I like them but they are too small for me for everyday. The jumbo is heavy and $10,000 now so I am considering a boy for day use. Any thoughts? Are they leather lined in 2022?

I just purchased my third. Love the Boy!!

I do have multiple classic flaps, but I would say the Boy bag is easier to get in and out of, to style, and all around more comfortable (you can wear it three ways). I have the new medium, old medium (just purchased), and the small. All Boy's are fabric lined except for exotics. Let me know if I can answer any questions..happy to help :hbeat:

New medium: Caramel/beige lambskin and shiny silver hardware
Old medium: Black calfskin and ruthenium hardware
Small: Dark grey calfskin and aged gold hardware

Thank you so much for your reply.
You have lovely bags.
Which one do you prefer size-vise, old or new medium?

No problem and thank you!! New medium for the days I need to carry a bit more. That bag can fit a small umbrella or water bottle. Old medium for every day running around.

If I could have only one..it would be a hard choice because I like to have the variety of color and size. But if I HAD to pick...old medium

I totally agree! While I love the Classic flap for it being "classic," I am finding that I am loving carrying my medium Boy because of it's surprisingly light weight.
