I store is on its side actually - I heard that it’s how the SAs store them in the back room because the sides of the bag is more structured and less possibility of developing a sag

It is seasonal / permanent. They technically call it "grained calfskin" and it is much softer than the typical caviar used on older CFs.

Hello lovelies. I need some advice regarding the wear and tear on Chanel boy bag. I've had credit with Fashionphile for the longest and each time I bought a Chanel (rectangular mini & mini square), it never made me feel giddy. Finally, I realize I wanted a boy bag. Received it today and ohhh boy its so freaking gorgeous! The bag appears to be in good condition, some rubbing around the corners which I don't mind. My main concern is I noticed the glossing has worn down around the CC clasp in front. I'm assuming it's from the previous owner have pretty nails opening and closing it, causing the gloss to be scratched off. I got the bag over 1g under retail (before tax). It comes with full set, tags included. Is this something that can be fixed and is it a fair price for its condition? Any advice is very much appreciated. TIA!

I don't think I saw a response to this, although this post is several months old.. Great price for full set! I don't have any feedback on correcting the wear and tear, but given that it is barely noticeable zoomed in, I don't think it's a huge thing to worry about. Caviar is more durable than the smooth calfskin and lambskin and with the texture, barely noticeable. Hopefully by now you are thoroughly enjoying this acquisition!

so I purchased a shiny silver boy chevron in old medium size. I just want to ask why the chain is kinda feel like hollow unlike the boy in ruthenium hardware. I like that its lighter sure but it makes it feel like a cheap material. Any opinions about this?View attachment 5180893

I personally love the chevron over the traditional quilts, so I think that trumps the hw material. I think the opposite and that the aged hw looks "cheaper" than the shiny. That being said, hope you're enjoying this bag!!

i got incredibly lucky as this is from 19c (the La Pausa collection). They had it in Paris today and it was love at first sight.
I hope the tweed part isn’t too delicate!
