Wow are these beauties from a single shopping session? Struck gold!
I got them within weeks of each other and I most certainly did! Before the price increase I think, I haven’t dared to venture into the boutique in the last week or so because my FA is on holiday and I’m afraid I’d overspend again so I really haven’t any idea what the new prices are
I just got my first boy/first chanel bag a week ago and I’m already wondering how long I can resist before telling my SA I’m looking for a black, red, or gray boy. I love your gray with gold hardware!
I’m pretty new to chanel and primarily interested in boy bags. Can someone kindly share what are the revolving REV color/hardware combos for the boy?
Black with aged gold hardware and black with ruthenium hardware are the 2 classic/rev combos for the boy bag.
White has been released often recently, 22P and 22C (chevron) had white which should still be available in boutiques.. I believe red was a recent release as well. Good luck!
Before purchasing my boy I had wanted calfskin and my original order with the boutique was actually calf skin because I like the look of smooth leather. Didn’t fancy the roughness of caviar (funny I say that now when almost all my Chanels are caviar) - you can see the comparisons covered in that video and I think the choice boils down to your prioritising a preferred aesthetic or preference for longevity against scratches and scuffs. Boys generally tend to easily scuff on the corners due to its rigid shape and on the calfskin that wear and tear is going to be a lot more evident than the caviar. (Check our vids on wear and tears of boys on YouTube. Calfskin hasn’t aged gracefully for some) How easily it scratches and scuffs depends on how gentle you use it of course but I consider it some form of insurance to get it in caviar. I guess it’s the same for people who get the classic flap in lambskin or caviar, though calfskin if way hardier than lambskin. HTHs!
This chevron is actually the least used of my Chanel’s (only once since I got her in Jan) because I developed this weird compunction against using her or something because it’s so shiny and pretty and needs to be kept and stashed away - while the ruthenium and antique gold gets used weekly with no problems. I think I need help lol
