Hey everyone, I'm planning to buy a black medium boy and previously had my heart set on caviar as I don't like to baby my things at all. I have a caviar WOC and bifold wallet that I've used a ton and they still look brand new but I'm curious to hear opinions on how durable calfskin is as it seems quite a bit cheaper. TIA!
Hello! Calfskin is very durable and I have my BOY for 5 years already and still looking as sturdy. I just took a photo of it (left) last month! And I think price wise, it should be the same as grained calfskin (caviar).

Hi everyone! I just got my first boy bag (so in love with it) and I have a few questions:
  1. Is there a way to protect the corners from wear?
  2. Is the price of the old medium the same as the new medium?
  3. What can I do to prevent the bottom from sagging? Would a bag organizer help?
  4. Any other tips/advice on caring for my new beautiful boy?
Any input is most appreciated TIA

Hi there,
Congrats on your new purchase. Not sure if I can address all of your question, but I can try.
The old medium and new medium Le Boys are different size and price - an “old medium” is called medium nowadays and a “new medium“ is called large and is at a higher price point. Not sure what could be done re protecting the corners from wear (if at all). As for the care tips, the usual “don’t overstuff your bag” helps to prevent sagging and loss of structure. I would also suggest to “open” the lock mechanism (pinch it open) when you close your bag - same way that you do when you open it (I hope it makes sense). I have noticed that people often times just push the flap/lock back when closing their Boys and it does work but with time that constant pushing affects the structure of the bag and leads to sagging on the bottom (especially in lamb skin).
Hope this helps and enjoy your Le Boy in good health!

I have a bag organizer for mine, and I really think that‘s a good investment. It definitely helps keeping the bag in shape.

Hi everyone!
Looking to make my first Chanel purchase for my 30th!!
I have my eyes on the Small Boy in black and gold, preferably quilted.
Is this a difficult bag to find?
Any tips/recommendations on where to start looking?

The new launch is in a few weeks. The black boy comes in stock pretty often but it will vary depending on location. Whenever I look for an item I normally call the chanel locations and they'll let you know over the phone. Try calling now or around January 17-18. I believe that's when the new launch comes in.

Hi Everyone,
How’s the black caviar leather on the Chanel boy that are in the botiques right now? Ive read about certain issues from the past such as 17c being too dull/matte etc. How does it compare to the caviars from previous years? Thank you!
