I've always wanted a black diamond quilted old medium boy bag in SUPER SHINY silver hardware, but the sales associate at rue Cambon store in Paris said that there were none in stock, in fact she's never even seen that combination together, (unless it's in chevron) and said that most likely it was a colour combination from season's past ... I always thought silver was a classic hardware, the way gold is ... would someone be able to tell me if that's true? The SA only had ruthenium hardware, but that hardware is so dull looking (plus it looks like the hardware was made for teenagers and not someone slightly older). Anyway, is the ruthenium hardware part of Chanel's permanent collection? Will Chanel be selling this hardware on the boy bag in20 years?

Silver hardware + Boy Bag combi is very rare. Matte Gold and Ruthenium are very common, and lately the Shiny Light Gold has been very common too. You might like the Shiny Light Gold hardware - it sometimes passes off as silver looking depending on the light your bag is under.
Bright shiny hardware was out on the med. boy last year in calfskin -i am glad I waited and this year it came in shiny black caviar with the shiny silver hardware which I bought. It is in the chevron and not quilted but I love it as it is a nice think caviar and puffy chevron. I think I saw a quilted one with shiny silver for the collection that has just released.

I will go back to Chanel and confirm with them again, if they have any other hardware for the black quilted boy in old medium and will report back ... thanks again, guys!

I have been eyeing this Le boy combo (caviar chevron with rhw) for a while now and finally found one on the pre-loved market. It’s in the old medium, 24 series. This will be my first Chanel purchase. Can someone give me an idea of what it’s worth?

Firstly, is the Boy bag classed in the classic/continuous collection-V? Or does it change from each season e.g Cruise, Spring/Summer Act 1? I know there are seasonal colours but does the black change type of leather or hardware?
I am interested in the black quilted calfskin with ruthenium hardware. Is this a hard bag to come by? (I am in the
UK for reference). Also does anyone know roughly the release dates for the London Bond Street store and any recommendations of SAs?
Sorry for the questions, and of course in the current climate this information isn't a necessity. It's a nice way to 'escape' at the moment! I hope everyone is keeping safe!
