Okay, I’m seeing what you’re pointing out now. My bad. I thought you were referring to the small gap on the ring. No, mine are perfect and flushed against the leather on both sides. You should return it..I doubt it’s normal. You’re paying quite a bit so the bag should be perfect.

I agree I was sent one with ruthenium hardware and then I saw the shiny silver and returned the ruthenium as it didn’t add to the look of the bag at all - bought the shiny silver and your right it pops!!Thank you!! So I was set on moving on from chanel after having issues with two boy bags in a row, then decided to text an SA from New Jersey that I have never met in person if he would have any info to share about boy bag from 20S collection. This SA was so awesome in sending me MANY pictures of the ones he had in stock at the store, and I was finally able to get my hand on one that is not only perfect, but is also brand new - never been touched! Here’s my old medium black chevron boy in grained calfskin with ghw. It’s truly flawless!

For the price of a Chanel , all bags should be perfect before they hit the boutiques! I have been sent several bags in the past to find something is wrong and then when you call the SA who sent it they always say well I inspected it and it was fine or “its not a defect”. I was sent the same one but With silver hardware thank goodness mine was perfect. Yours in gold is gorgeous but since My Chanels have gold I wanted silver this time. It looks like the caviar lis still Shiny?

That’s great that the one you received was perfect to start with!! My current one has caviar that’s more matte than the previous version. The leather definitely feels different, my new one is softer but also thinner (I’m indifferent to either leather I like them both). I have a classic flap with gold hardware too lol, I wish the 20p boy worked out for me but it just wasn’t mean to be I guess [emoji5]
I went back and of course my SA said he couldn’t see it. But he said I should exchange it for peace of mind. Unfortunately they didn’t have the same bag in store, so he sent me to another store a mile away where they had a few of the same. The store manager who helped me at the other store said she couldn’t see the defect either, but she didn’t even bother to look! Annoying. Long story short, I exchanged my bag for a perfect looking one. I absolutely agree with one of the other posters that if we are paying this much for a bag, then we should expect only the best quality!
Glad you found the perfect one! My previous SA never acknowledged the defects on my first two boy bags either. But completely agree that we deserve the best quality with the amount of money we are spending on the bag!!!

Just saw a brushed gold chevron on fashionphile - so beautiful but ugh, yes all my black bags have gold hardware so the silver is a nice edition. Still haven’t used it yet as I’m waiting for an insert to reduce the saggy bottom.

I love this bag! its so edgy and bad a** but I also don’t wear it at all?! The cost per wear for me has been terrible... Le boy has me torn like a bad romance [emoji30]
