Hi everyone- I just added a preowned Chanel Medium Boy Bag to my mini Chanel collection. The seller listed this as lambskin leather but I got my bag today and it looks/feels more like smooth calfskin leather which I am also OK with but I want to sort out the leather type as the care for each is very different. I compared it to my mini rectangular flap in lambskin which is buttery soft and the leather for this boy is not. I would greatly appreciate your opinion and expertise on this. Thank you so much!

When I purchased my boy bag in July last year (black caviar with antique gold hardware) the SA told me that this specific combo is classic meaning that it’s constantly being released and does not belong to a specific season so I believe same like classic flap where the black is classic and then there are different colors each season, I’m not sure about ruthenium hardware but I’d imagine it’s the same like gold.

I am interested in the Boy bag. I have a few questions as I am relatively new to the world of Chanel...
Firstly, is the Boy bag classed in the classic/continuous collection-V? Or does it change from each season e.g Cruise, Spring/Summer Act 1? I know there are seasonal colours but does the black change type of leather or hardware?
I am interested in the black quilted calfskin with ruthenium hardware. Is this a hard bag to come by? (I am in the
UK for reference). Also does anyone know roughly the release dates for the London Bond Street store and any recommendations of SAs?
Sorry for the questions, and of course in the current climate this information isn't a necessity. It's a nice way to 'escape' at the moment! I hope everyone is keeping safe!

The boy is a continuous collection but not all boutiques have a large selection. I know in Toronto late 2019 they only had black caviar with light gold hardware, no ruthenium. My brother went to europe and I was lucky enough to buy the medium black boy caviar with ruthenium but it was quilted. I wanted to get the chevron in caviar but they only had it in calfskin. Smooth calfskin in chevron was available last year in europe.Hi Everyone

Here is my small boy in light pink caviar leather with champagne hardware. So in love with the color, the blue undertone is so subtle.
My dream boy! I had a couple of boys as I was always distracted but I finally owned this one and only piece in the exact combo I’ve been eyeing!!!!

Great beauty! Can you post several ways to wear? How to adjust leather strap?
Thanks. I’ll find sometime to take some shots. Thus far I’ve been carrying it crossbody, shoulder carry and you could do a Gabrielle depending if I’m bold that day.
