Is the boy bag hard to find in boutiques? Specifically a black caviar or calfskin medium either rheuthium or gold hardware. Only wondering because it took me a year of waitlist to get the wallet on chain.

I think it depends where you're looking - I had no problem getting my hands on the medium black caviar with antique hardware in Paris when I bought it. Haven't seen too many in the States though!

Thanks!! I love the caviar. It’s thick and shiny and smells great! I haven’t felt a 20c boy in caviar but just from looking in the store at the 20c boys in other colors I wasn’t as interested in the matte caviar. Good luck deciding!

That 20P boy has super shiny caviar that has additional coating by my SA. Personally, I really like this shiny caviar while others might think that it looks plastic. If the hardware was shiny light gold, I should have bought it.

Yeah I can see how some people can think the caviar looks plastic. The hardware is actually shiny silver but depending on lighting it can look like light gold. I actually worried the silver would look too light silver but seeing it in person it’s perfect!

Thank you for getting back to me! I haven’t been able to check both of them in person, so I can only judge from the pictures posted on here. I think 20c matte caviar isn’t too matte imo.

From the picture, I think it looks great and doesn’t look plastic at all. Actually, the only thing that turns me down is the silver hardware. I much prefer ruthenium hardware on the boy bags.

I’d say 20c boy would be perfect for you then! I wanted shiny hardware that’s the main reason I passed on the 20c boys

I posted this on another thread but I’m so sad to report my boy bag has a hole in the top left corner of the inside front part.... trying to figure out how to return my bag at this point since I live 5 hours from a Chanel store I really love this boy bag but just can’t live with this type of flaw, even though it’s hard to see unless you pay close attention.

Yup. Will be returning the bag tomorrow via mail and give it another try for a new bag the store should be receiving soon that they will ship directly to me. Hoping the next one will be perfect.
