Got the same bag! Still debating this over the black. How many grey bags do you have and how did you decide this over black? Have you used it yet? Congrats!
Hi! This is my first grey bag and yes I have carried this everyday this whole week. I love how versatile this is and this shade of grey goes with everything. I mostly have black bags and decided to get it when I saw this perfect shade of grey! I saw your pictures and it looks great on you. FYI, I already have a Black boy bag and love that as well. If you don't have a lot of black bags then that would definitely be my first choice. I also feel that this color is not so light that it will show wear unlike the lighter shades. Hope this helps.

Yes super helpful! Thanks so much. What kind of black boy do you have? I have a small purple lamb boy from 19k which is super cute but I find not very usable as you have to really the match outfits to the bag. Maybe down the road I’ll also get a black boy bag!

I have a Black Caviar boy also with the Ruthenium hardware. Love that bag but I agree, Black will always be there but I would not give up this shade of grey!

So stunning! I love your new purchase. How do you plan to style the blue bag?
Thank you! For styling - it's interesting because I have some basic everyday bags by Botkier and one of them is a mint green color. I have ended up carrying that one the most and it pairs with SO much stuff. Pretty much anything! Thought I'd just use it in the spring summer but turns out I'm still carrying it.
So I predict this new Boy Chanel (which I'm not sure exactly what the color is called officially - but it's definitely got some grey tones to it) will be able to be styled with any number of outfits. I don't think it will be a fancy evening bag but other than that I have a feeling it's going to be my new favorite. :)

Have anyone seen an old medium boy in BLACK QUILTED (not chevron) with SHINY light gold? I'm fine with lambskin/caviar/calfskin. I have been looking for a new one in this combination for more than a year, but I haven't found one yet.

Hi guys ! I had the debate with my sister and not sure who’s right
I got a Chanel boy bag for Christmas (navy and gold ) and I feel like the boy bag is dying out in terms of “trends”. Do you think it’s a classic to stay or it’s passé?

Classic.

I think it has proven its staying power and the design is basically ‘edgier classic flap‘.

And I guess classic /= trend

Hi!
Definitely think the Le Boy is a classic. It released in 2011/2012 and has continued to be released in new color combos every season, but hasn’t been as popular in recent years. It’s an edgier take on the classic flap making it a great staple. Ultimately I would recommend you evaluate your wardrobe and see if it fits your style and of course, only keep if you love it! (Try not to let what’s the most hot bag influence your love)

hope this helps!

the purple boy color is a Flat color, not shiny at all. It was made especially to look matte. The picture I posted is of the Grey Boy 20c
Sorry for my ignorance can i know what do you mean by 20C? I just got my boy bag yesterday in caviar black with ruthenium HW. I don't understand what is 20C and where can i check this info. Any inputs from you will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Personally I feel like the Boy will become a classic. It has been around steadily for some time now and continues to have a strong following. Chanel also dedicates a fair amount to adding new colors, designs, fabrics/leathers to this bag and I don't think they'd be doing that if they thought the bag wasn't going to be staying around. Something like the Gabrielle, while cute, may be here more for the short term. And the new 19 bag, time will tell on that one as well. But the Boy has been strong and continues to be so. I say it's a classic in the making.
