I bought the chevron boy and I didn't think it looked extra shiny or glossy. I don't have another caviar bag to compare with but I compared with my caviar wallet and cardholder bought in May 2017, the chevron boy actually isn't as shiny as my SLGs.

It's a beautiful bag!! Good thing you kept it

Hi Ladies! I was able to make arrangement to pick up the bag earlier, so here are some pics of the new chevron boy. There have been discussions on how shiny the new chevron boy is, so I've included comparison pics between the classic medium and the chevron boy as well. I'm curious as to how the new chevron boy is compared to the chevron minis and wocs, so if you comparison pics of them, please feel free to share. Prior to taking the comparison pics, my initial thought was that the chevron boy was glossy. However, the boy seems to look less glossy in picture than In person and the glossiness is slightly out of my comfort zone. The chevron caviar with rhw is the combo I've been waiting for though so I'm not sure whether I should keep it. Personally, I don't like how shiny that caviar is just from your pictures and other pictures I have seen on here. I don't understand why Chanel couldn't just produce reguar caviar leather that is just as normal as classics. I know leathers can vary but when the Chanel boys cost almost as much as the classics, they should reserve finest leather for the boys too! Just my opinion.
I can see your boy bag is sagging at the bottom; perhaps shouldn't happen for a brand new bag.

This is also one of my favorite combinations though. Caviar leather ruthenium hardware.

Its beautiful! Most if not all of Boy caviar is different from the classic caviar. I love the glossiness and shine of the bag, its a personal preference thing. Its hard to get a Boy in a combination that you will like, if the bag is in great condition and you do like the shine I think you should keep it!

The chevron is gorgeous! The caviar looks divine too! Nice and puffy, it looks comparable to the classic in your pics. The most important though is how you feel about it.

Agreed with @gayeonxsa.. The chevron boy is shiny but in my opinion it is not as shiny and plasticky as the 17P boy.. the leather also feel durable and there is no creases when u flip the flap which I like.. I am not too sure but chevron Caviar boy seems to be rarer than quilted Caviar boy

Yeah I prefer some shine and gloss as well.. I have been using daily(testing if it chip or peel) since I bought it and it hold well as of now.. the structure is really firm which is a plus plus point so much better than my 16A boy.. do share your boy once you receive it

Here is my new boy bag, and he is gorgeous!

And here is my tiny collection of boy bags

I do see the shine on the caviar leather but for some reason it is more visible on the sides and inside of the flap, not so much on the front or the back. IMPO the caviar does not feel like plastic at all, it feels soft, smooth and luxurious, I take it is an extra layer of protection. The chevron puffiness is just right and black lining is so nice, the only thing is that it is made in Italy and I prefer MIF.

The other two boys are in calf skin and I can see the caviar one with is much more durable and carefree. I just realized that I like the boy bag more than the CF, I have used mine only once since I got her.

I compared the new chevron caviar boy to my classic caviar boy and noticed a difference in weight. The chevron caviar boy seems to be much heavier, even the chain is heavier. I feel the weight on my shoulders even when the bag is empty. I'm wondering if anyone noticed the same.

Thanks! It does look pink in the pic but it is actually red color It is still new in box, a few months ago I had listed it for sale on Tradesy at full price and with in a few hours I got a response to buy it, but I just couldn't let him go.
