I just got the So black boy bag it comes in grained calfskin and it's gorgeous but.... I have the caviar boy bag with ruthenium hardware in caviar. They look identical and I'm not sure if I should exchange it for something else. I have been told
The so black collection is rare and hard to get your hands on. Should I keep or exchange? The leather in the so black is way softer than caviar and the hardware seems like it would
Scratch easier than the ruthenium hardware.

I have one in medium, and it's actually grained lambskin. If you don't truly love it, you shouldn't keep it; don't keep something that you don't completely love just because it's hard to get. It's a lot of money here we are talking about.

However, if I were you, I would get something a little bit different such as gold hardware and/or color. To me, they are kind of too similar.

Is that grained calfskin or caviar

It's grained calfskin. Caviar is just a type of finish. The texture looks like caviar (fish eggs).

I think they look very similar. I would diversify and get it in either a different size or very different color or a different bag altogether. Simply because I wouldn't even know which one to choose to use because they're so similar!

They look so similar, I think you should exchange it for something else or choose a different color and hardware combo.

If your So Black Boy is from 2017 it's not caviar but a Grained Lambskin, so two different leathers.

I have the same issue with my small so black boy.
I don't know how to "repair " it yet. But it don't bothers me.

Maybe bring it to the Boutique and they Can fix it gor you.

Had to return a chevron caviar boy due to the same peeling issues others mentioned here. Check your bags before buying!!

My new chevron boy! I've been after a black caviar boy bag for years and I just love this one. I'm sorry to hear that some of you are having quality issues I hope that the bag wears well with it being caviar and shiny caviar is my favourite!! Also a shot of my boys together

I was lucky enough to buy the same combination at the Castlereagh boutique in Sydney, Australia. Was super stoked to see it just sitting there beautifully on the shelf- have been looking for black chevron boy in caviar for years too

Sharing my favourite boy with a story behind how I got him! When I first saw this bag online.. i knew i had to get it. Luckily I was less than 2 weeks away from travelling to Europe. For the next 2 weeks (which felt like 2 months).. I couldn't stop thinking about him. I ended up calling several boutiques in several countries to get a gauge on stock levels but only 5% of the stores had them. I couldn't pay for it over the phone either which is standard with Chanel. So it was then just a waiting game for now...
After a 25hr journey to Paris.. as soon as I checked into my apartment, I immediately rang several boutiques in Paris to track down this bag. Unfortunately I was told that every store had sold out... I was bummed but something inside me told me to keep trying, so I rang the same boutiques again hoping that I may get a different SA that could help. Then voilaaaa.. I was in luck! The SA told me she had 1 left BUT she wasn't able to hold it for me as they were too busy. I panicked and was worried that someone may snatch it up by the time I get to the store (googlemaps showed i was at least 40 mins away). So I hurried up my husband.. left in a rush to get to the boutique as quickly as I could (mind you we had just arrived in Paris so had no idea of the best and quickest way to get there). We eventually found our way to the store and it was there and then.. that I had finally met him for the first time. It was love at first sight and the rest is history... haha
I bought a few other things as well... Hubby wasn't too impressed to say the least. We had only been in Europe for less than 2 hrs and I had already gone mad and spent most of my 5 week spending money LOL

New here and hoping you can help me decide on a purchase!

Item: Chanel - Old medium lambskin Le Boy in black

I found this In a luxury item Facebook group - the seller bought it from a previous seller in the same group. There is no receipt, but she mentions that the previous seller was reputable and got one of the screws fixed at Chanel before giving it to her. There is evidently some wear , the sides are quite collapsed. She's letting it go for CAD $4000. Worth it or not?

I would forgo this bag. For the price and condition...no. If you're looking for below retail and relatively great condition I would say visit fashionphile.

Hello everyone. I'm new to the Chanel forum. I've fallen in love again [emoji173]️ with Chanel and love to combine both H and Chanel. I bought these boots and here they are with this small boy bag. For boy lovers the lambskin leather is pleated so it feels very nice.But it also makes it bulky in person. Would you go for this boy or the classic lambskin?
