apparently people refer to it as "caviar leather" (calf leather) same as the flap bags. Thats great news coz caviar is super durable and thicker leather-- more for everyday wear. If thats the case, then I'm down for this bag! ... dont personally like slouchy bags which is why i was always wary. Unfort, sold out all over France.. which is odd. seems like the US has it-- maybe its an older stock? from last season? I find it hard to believe its sold out "in all colours" (as told to me by the SA) in their flagship location. sigh.

The new leather is sturdier and the bag does retain its shape. I purchased the bag 16 months ago and carried it frequently. The new leather is not heavy, in my opinion. This bag is beautiful!
hey ladies, here are the colours that are available now. funnily black is sold out everywhere. This is what my SA sent me. Unfort these bags cost double the price in the Middle East/ Asia, hence I'm interested in finding one in Paris as I'm heading there soon...

Here is my Cerf Tote that I bought several months ago. This is the grainier leather. I think it was 14b or c. Anyway, I have used this as my workhorse bag, almost everyday for several months and it is amazing!! I do not have to worry about it one bit. It fits all my needs, and I just love the structured look to it. It does get heavy, but nothing more than I can handle. I just through the longer strap over my shoulder when schlepping the kids. Here is a pic: it's a large (they might call it medium) , but not the huge largest size you can get: HTH any of you trying to decide. I actually think the think grainy leather is beautiful and I'm a girl that normally prefer "smooth" leathers.
Beautiful in these colors! I have this bag in the newer leather, black with gold hardware. It is a fabulous bag!
gorgeous looking tote. can you tell me the style code for this? earlier i heard it might be A15 something... you mentioned perhaps 14b/c. since I'm keen to get the exact leather (stronger, grainy)-- the exact code would help to track one down. best, xxx.
