Hey guys, sorry I'm new to this forum so apologies for any repeated questions..
1. whats the new price in the eurozone (france) for this bag?
2. What sizes are available? I see @Emilyxo above has put up a picture-- which size is this? I am 5"4 and think this size would be fine.

many thanks ladies! :)

I bought this coral cerf tote last December in Paris. From what the SA told me the black cerf tote is permanent but the colored ones are seasonal. So with that coral cerf, there also was a beautiful olive green but I ended up going with the coral. U get compliments every time I wear it and it's very practical. So if black is what u want, it might not be that hard to get. I believe there was another color that is permanent but can't remember which one.

Gorgeous color! What size is this?

I love how the medium size isn't as prone to slouching at the base. The large size that I recently exchanged was slouching even before its first use. Just sitting on the table, the base corners would just sorta slump inwards and that really annoyed me. I would definitely recommend getting the medium size for the cerf 😸

Loveeeee this bag!!! :heart::heart::heart:
glad you said this! Im new to this forum so was wondering which size is best. Medium looks fine for someone 5"4 in height. Can you do a modelling shot?

Im not sure if this bag's price has increased. I really don't think it has. Anyway I bought it before the price increase in December 2014 and it was €2250.
There was a smaller size but I thought it was too small. In not sure about a larger size though. Small and medium for sure.

Thanks a lot. I do Love the color. this is the medium size. I'm 5'4 and it's perfect on me.

Great... thanks a bunch for these details! One more question- is this bag easily available in Paris? I remember going nuts trying to get my hands on a maxi caviar flap last year when i was there for a limited amount of time. Do boutiques normally carry plenty of this style?

I'm really not sure about how stocked up they are in that style. When I was looking for this coral cerf tote, the 2 stores I went to had stock (rue cambon and faubourg). I don't think the black one would be hard to find. Best thing would be to call one store before you go. They can tell you what store has stock.
Happy hunting!

I bought a cerf tote last summer at Neimans. The smaller of the two in the photo was called the 'medium' size. The larger was the 'large' size. There was also an extra large (Idon't have a photo). They didn't call any version 'small'. Anyway, I have 'medium' (smaller of two in the photo). I love it. It has enough room for the things I need daily like wallet, cosmetics, key 2 cell phones. I debated getting the large size which I could have fit all my work items in - notebook, small laptop but decided for me the small fit my needs better.

If you go to Paris to one of the Chanel boutiques, try asking for a cerf tote. They will certainly burst out laughing. This tote is called the "Executive Tote". Years ago, an account executive at Chanel who didn't read or speak French saw this bag for the first time and read the word "cerf" on the tote bag's ticket and decided it was the "surf" bag. Cerf in French means deerskin. The executive tote used to be made of deerskin. Now it is available in embossed calfskin made to look like deerskin (which really holds it's shape) or in regular calfskin (which does not). To make matters worse, most non-French speakers pronounce the word as "surf" not as "sare" which is the correct pronounciation.

The Paris boutiques are full of them. Just be sure to ask for either the "Executive Tote" or the "Grand Shopping".

Saks OH SA has a white cerf tote

PM for her info View attachment 2988635

honestly, my issue with the executive tote is that it looses its structured shape too quickly. look at this white one-- it already looks softer, just by sitting on the display for a while. to compare- prada saff lux totes never look this way. i know they're 2 completely diff leathers but as a personal pref, i prefer structured bags that look the same years later.

thats the only thing thats holding me back from getting this.

what do you ladies think?

Hi for reference my bag is the original medium size which is most popular. There was a seasonal one I saw but it was bigger in dimensions and too big for me as I am 5"1.

In terms of leather , I agree with the shape thing... But a couple of years ago they started making ones in stronger pebbled calfskin so they are not as soft as the ones before and hold their shape a lot more. I got mine in this as it was a 15C version and this is what made me finally decide to purchase this bag because it is so beautiful, ps in the UK It went up slightly ... To £1990 xx

Thanks a bunch for this! Infact i called the Paris ave montaigne store and asked for the "Executive Cerf Tote"-- she was a tad confused but then i gave her the style code and she looked it up. Said there were none in all of Paris :(

Anyways, does one need to ask for the calfskin vs deerskin? Or is the calfskin a default leather they use now? Would you have the entire code for the calfskin one?

Sorry for so many qs. Other Chanel flaps have so much info available on them. Hard to get this info + rarely ever see this bag in the boutique near my house (though its a v small boutique i must say).
