Will the hardware be the same or are they changing it?

She didn't say. But pointed out it may be more like the hardware on the GAIA. I really didn't pay too much attention to the Caissa when it came out and my SA steered me away from it. I did look at the GAIA yesterday and liked it but a little leery there too. In my opinion these newer bags don't feel substantial enough to me. And of course I am comparing to older bags such as the Artsy, Tivoli, Estrela OM even the Retiro NM. You have the Artsy do a comparison.

She just stated they pulled the bag and it will not return until they correct the problem which will be a couple of months. She also thinks the glazing will be an issue over time as well.

I hope they correct it properly for you ladies who like this bag.

Does anyone still have her Caissa Hobo?

I had mine until yesterday. I reluctantly decided to exchange her for a SpeedyB. My SA said they are supposed to be releasing new models in a few months. Hopefully it will happen soon because I definitely want to purchase it again once the issue is fixed...

I still do :) and no isues so far

I still have mine but this is my second one. The first one was broken within 4 days. This one is going on one month and going strong.

I have mine. I've been carrying it every day to work and on weekends. I even hang it by the handle overnight every evening - no issues yet ... My screws are still very tight - no movement at all.

That sounds good! Mine is still ok, but I only have her a few days...

I hope you will get the new one without issues, such a nice bag...!

The Gaia has the round leather piece under the screw (washer) and I think that helps a lot. Maybe the screws are also longer as well??? I don't know, but I pointed this out to my SA, and he agreed that maybe that all be the fix. Anyway, I had also returned mine, and I am going to pick up the Kensington next week. (I had sold my Reggia to get get the Caissa and I am wanting to get another DE hobo or tote!)

Returned my Caissa today and got the Montaigne MM in Mon. I love that bag and I have it in Rose B Empreinte. I am glad to have a bag that I do not have to worry about.

If the issues get worked out and it comes back in RB, I will give it a few months and try again.

That is good news! I've stayed away because of all that I've read here. Maybe I will be able to reconsider...it is SO beautiful!!
