Absolutely! If they fixed this issue I would be first in line!!
My hubby said he could put thread locker on it but really..... We shouldn't have to glue are brand new bags!!

I know, for that much money, you shouldn't have to do it yourself. But because the bag is so pretty, i was thinking "if i have the bit, then i keep it inside the bag and when it loosens i can fix it myself but with a thread locker this time.

But he can't really acrew it in all thw way without that bit.

I'm so sorry it happened again to your bag.
Mine is still ok, but If this happens, i'll be returning it too. I hope LV is investigating. They probably have a batch of bags with loose screw :sad:

I am pretty confident it is not a "batch" issue. It is a complete design flaw and, at some point, every bag is going to have the same problem.

If they keep the design, they will have to completely redesign the handle mechanism. Otherwise, they will just let that style go away so they don't have to deal with it.

I agree with you HTOWNE. I believe it is a design flaw with the mechanism. I am sick about it. This bag is gorgeous, but with the pretty coloring on the edges, you do have to be aware of color transfer.

I really think I'm just going to go with the DE Delightful.

How's yours doing Skat?

So far it's been doing fine. Much better than the first time that's for sure! After a hard week again traveling. Basically the same conditions as it was when it broke and it did fine. Due to some more travel for work again this week i did switch bags due to maximum amount of carry ons allowed (I only travel 3 days this time but the prior weeks were full weeks so checked bag was involved) so I haven't carried it in a week.

This thread has been very informative.

If there are on going issues with this bag that cannot be fixed due to a design flaw, just return it or change something else you know will last.
It is just not worth the worry and the repair costs in near future.

You are definitely doing the right thing. The glazing on the edges was a great idea, but you are right that with time that glazing is not going to look good. The way they did the glazing is what made me decide to return mine. I also did not like how the lining went all the way to the top of the bag. I didn't think that was smart.

There will always be something better, but sometimes something clean and simple makes the best bag. I love to buy show and special pieces, but I always go to my regular bags most of the time. The Delightful is a great bag.

I don't think that is a good idea. I would exchange it as soon as you can.

That is so true! You know the great thing about DE is that it's worry free for any kind of weather, but with the lining going all the way to the top and no way to close the bag, I'm afraid to carry it in the rain.

I had never thought about it until I read your post, but I tend to carry my basic no fuss bags much more than my showier ones. That's a great point!

My DB suggested he would do that too haha! He looked closely at the screws as we were having lunch out and they were loose! We stopped into LV in Brisbane and I had the only one! Everyone else is on a wait list. My DB bought the very first available. They offered to return it for credit or send it away to the specialists [emoji53] I decided to hang on to it because I love it and will take it for them to fix the issue if it comes out.

I may be in the minority but I'm not worried at all. I never baby any of my bags. I treat them so I can carry them rain or shine. If the handle on thIs hobo fails, I'll get it repaired or replaced. I LOVE this bag! It may not be flawless but neither am I ... ;)

When was your bag made? If you don't mins me asking please? So LV Australia is aware of the issue? I don't mind fixing the screws myself if they give me the screw driver bit. Thread lock will be added to it for sure. LOL!!!
