mrop - Try calling late at night (I called around 11pm EST). The SA I spoke with sounded like a rookie. She was perfectly nice (and I am so grateful that she took my PCE!), but when I placed my order and she repeated it, it sounded like she was reading the word Borough for the first time. I also said "I see that Oxblood just became available again on the website, do you see it on your end?" And it took her a minute to realize that that was the name of the color. Maybe it was random and I was lucky. Worth a shot. Good luck!

Jealous!! I can't get ANYONE to let me use PCE! :(
You were looking for a mini right? Have you stopped in (or are you close to) a Macys? You could always have them do a search or see if they can order one. Sounds like they have been honoring the 25/20% off if you use your Macys card. I think it goes through Sunday. Worth a shot!

Gosh Coach needs to make sure their employees are well-informed! I just came back from a visit to my local store this evening, and I was able to get two B's, no questions asked! They didn't even scan the code from my coupon, my SA just took it at the end ;). So happy! She even upped the order with overnight shipping, and waived the fee! I will definitely return next month :D. The corporate almost gave me a heart attack-I thought I was going to end up boroughless!

Yay, congrats! I am so glad it worked out for you!

Thanks for the advice! I called all over and was told the mini is excluded at all. :( I went ahead and ordered one anyways bc I have been dying for one but I'm going to try to get a PA with my favorite SA when it arrives. :) either way, I'll enjoy her when she's here. I ordered the retro glove tanned mini in camel!! 😍

Hi Ladies, I'm so excited. I bought a Microsoft Surface Pro 2 128GB to use as my laptop! I have only had it since last night so I haven't installed everything I need for work, but the reviews on BestBuy.com overall were pretty good for people who wanted a full-fledged mobile windows laptop, mostly to run software that will only run on a real Windows computer. It runs the full Windows 8.1 operating system and has a touch screen.

The best part is it fits in a medium Borough Bag! Quite easily. I can take it to client calls without looking like I'm moving in. The other convertible tablet/computers I looked at were almost too wide to fit into a zippered borough compartment easily. The surface tablet is just under 11 inches wide.

It does not fit into the middle compartment. It fits into the side zippered compartments and the open compartments. So it may weigh down one side of the bag if you carry it a lot without setting it down. The bag stands up nicely even with the tablet on one side.

One thing I noticed is that the lining in the zippered compartments seems to be shorter than the lining in the open compartments, so I think it will keep the tablet from pushing down the base of the bag. It might be preferable to carry heavier things in the zippered compartment for that reason (as long as they don't stress the lining).

I have the medium chambray pebbled borough. Empty, it weighed 2.7 pounds. With the surface tablet and type 2 keyboard cover (and no other stuff), it weighed 5.2 pounds. That was a little heavy with the shoulder strap. I would probably use the shorter handles when carrying the surface tablet.

Just wanted to provide this info in case people were looking for a borough to use as a laptop bag. You really have to look at the width of the device you are considering, as well as the weight.

I've really enjoyed looking at all your beautiful boroughs. I checked out of Coach for a while last year and on a whim went in this year to see what was going on. I do have a question for your ladies -- are you worried about the corners wearing, just given the style of the bag? Have you noticed more wear with certain leathers over others? Colors?

This past PCE, I got talked into getting the large borough highrise and I'm really wondering how that bag is going to fare as a shoulder bag, especially given the corners. I'm truly a hobo girl and this latest version of the Madison hobo is a dream. I don't have the same worry about the corners with the hobo 'cause its not so pointy - I'm just wondering if I should be more concerned with the highrise in that regard.

Thanks.

Nandini

Nope, not at all! I was expecting the corners to give out at first, but they're actually very durable! Already on to my second, and hoping for my third borough soon! :D
