That's funny :laugh: The irony is that the other package I received yesterday was a garden hose and an extension cord from Amazon. Double boxed and neatly put together with packing material. Really wish my Coach Borough had been packed with as much care as my garden hose!

I had a very similar experience! I ordered in-store to get the medium black pebbled borough with the adjustable strap. I waited around at work just to get the package... And when I opened it I couldn't believe how poorly it was shipped. I opened the dustbag and to my dismay there was a huge crease on the front of the bag.

I expect bags to show signs of wear eventually.. But I want to be the one to make them flawed!... Not buy them that way 😊

I took it to the nearest store and they exchanged it no questions asked. I would suggest you do the same for a bag you've wanted for so long! It will be worth it, I've worn mine every day since I've exchanged it. It has become my favorite over my mon mono speedy which i never thought I'd say 😁

Ps. I highly recommend the store at Rockefeller Center in NYC (where I made the exchange) if anyone is in the area. It's small but had a lot of inventory and lovely salespeople.

^So far all my packages have been well-packed, when I order from JAX (knocking on wood); I think it has more to do with the employee than anything else. Heck, I went to a local Quiznos the other day, and this grumpy lady act like it's my fault she's working; she pushed down the large sub so that it exploded, and wrapped it in one sheet of paper only-you can guess what happened. Almost all of the fillings came out, and my pants got a small stain from the sauce because there's only one layer of wrapping paper. The only other bad experience I had in the store was exactly because of this rude worker. Some people just don't care...

I would definitely go into a store and have them reorder it. It should never have been shipped in that condition. If you want to change colors Coach will still honor the PCE as long as the exchange is made on the same style of bag. If you need to call JAX just explain that you received a damaged bag and you would like them to send another one. They will send you a ups label and will ship you a new bag as soon as they see the box has been taken to the ups store. Good luck.

WOW! So sorry that happened to you.
Terrible shipping ! Who would put it (or any item) in a tight box like that and send to customer? Makes you wonder if they even care ... You should reorder it if you can and talk to a manager so they know about the complaint. I purchased my boroughs at store but would have returned if they arrived in poor shape.
If you do not return them, possibly stuffing with stiff paper will shape them again . I store mine stuffed anyway just in case.

Just stopped by the Coach store with my damaged-in-shipping Oxblood Borough. I explained to the SA that I wasn't sure whether to exchange or return the bag and wanted to look around. The fact that the pebbled leather could become so slouchy had me question if I really liked the bag. She was really apologetic about the obvious lack of care in packing this bag and made a couple of calls while I looked at the Boroughs. She then came over and told me that she would honor my PCE on any of the medium Boroughs at the $598 price point. Just left with my warm grey retro leather medium Borough, and this one is complete LOVE! Definitely not where I thought I would end up after initially having a major crush on the Oxblood! But I am so happy thiis worked out, and I will now make all my purchases through this SA. She really went the extra step to make up for Coach's mistake, and make me a happy customer :) Will take and post pics over the weekend!

Congratulations! The gray goes with everything. Sometimes you have to carry a bag around the store a while before you know it's the one for you.

Congrats! So happy that it ended well for you. The glove tanned leather is more structured and should age beautifully.

Congratulations ! So happy for you , i got the large retro glove in warm grey , it goes with everything , such a neutral color bag you will love it , enjoy enjoy !!!
