That's what I was thinking too. I feel sorry for the SAs - they are the ones who have to answer to the customer for someone else's bad decision or mistake.
I was on the fence about my last borough. I called the FP store over the weekend to see what the deal was, and the SA offered to give me the FB discount. I didn't know if I wanted to buy it. I didn't make it over there until Monday and she had already gone home. But she set aside the bag for me, with a note to the other SA to give me the discount, and I hadn't even asked her to. I ended up buying it, and a day later, it looks like they decided to stop offering the discount. Guess it was meant to be.
If they had said no discount, I probably would have passed on the bag, and just told myself and the SA that it wasn't meant to be. I wouldn't have made an issue of it. Part of the enjoyment of the bag is the purchasing process. I had fun deciding to buy the bag. I took my time with it.
My store manager made it clear to me that the discount was just until Monday, surely they all have access to the same information.
Well, I finally got my mini Borough this past week. I've been lusting after this bag since it came out! I ended up using it all weekend, but the strap digs into my shoulder and it gets pretty uncomfortable after awhile. Do any of you have any suggestions on how to make the strap more comfortable? I really don't carry that much stuff, so I was surprised it was so bad.
Ditto. That's exactly what I was told when the manager called me. So obviously the "end date" for the promotion was set from the get-go.
......I know, right! And I LIKE big bags but that's overkill. You can fit 2 small kids in that thing.I was told through Monday also, but she also said she would be happy to extend it to me if I decided to get a second Borough since I was going back and forth between two. She said.....take your time, I will be here Thursday if you decide you want it.

^I wasn't even told that it's through Monday only, when I asked through email. If I had known beforehand, I would have tried to go there to get my borough first, at least. But without that information, I wanted to avoid having to go twice at such a short span of time. Just hoping they're going to honor the promotion on Thursday!

I use mine primarily as a satchel, but I have used the strap for a couple of occasions when I needed to. I think the issue is that it is a small strap, and the bag is fairly heavy for its size. I am sorry I don't have any suggestions, but just wanted to say I can see how that could be an issue if you are always using the strap. Good luck!
Thanks for mentioning this. I'm surprised to hear that about the mini! I guess I would probably just carry it like a satchel more often, although I was originally interested in the mini specifically to use the strap, so...
I was just advised by customer service that the pce did not apply to the borough bag and that if I would have tried to order at the store on the 24th when I was there I would not have gotten the discount. I am so frustrated right now. I did have the Coach by invitation PCE. So for those of you that are being extended the pce, that's great. I just wish my store could do the same. Coach consistency throughout retail is not good. Sorry, for the rant I am just upset.
