She's an absolute beauty, xtye; many, many congratulations on your first Mulberry - she's a gorgeous purchase! Does she have the suede or microfibre lining! [emoji7]

I love your photo - the flowers and pompom work so well! [emoji991]
Thank you so much! :D I still can't believe she's all mine now!! She has the microfibre lining which I know some people aren't keen on - but I actually don't mind it ( I guess I have nothing to compare it to though!). I've read somewhere that the microfibre lining is supposed to make the bag less heavy which I guess is a bonus!

I don't have any bags with the microfibre lining but it will certainly make a difference to the weight! Don't forget to Collonil her (or similar!) before you venture out - I'd hate someone's coffee to mark her, she's so lovely! [emoji7]

Question for you ladies.... What would you do?? Just bought a gorgeous mock croc bays on eBay for a really good price that looks to my eyes not obviously fake.. kinda scared to put it on the authentication board as I adore the colour (orange) in case it's not real... Would you authenticate???

Hi, and welcome!

Yes, have it authenticated for peace of mind.

View attachment 3436504 So happy I can participate in this forum now ! I bought my first ever Mulberry Bayswater in Putty yesterday from Bicester village! I'm absolutely over the moon, she is so beautiful and such a great, neutral colour that will go with everything! Love the pebbled leather too. I have added a pom pom keyring to her - not sure if this looks silly but thought I'd try it out :p I'd love to know what you ladies think!
Gorgeous bag, love the color and the pompom looks great. Congrats!

I officially have no willpower!! Here's my new beauty, I love her deeply but she's not in great condition. The leather is horrifically dry. What is the best way of getting moisture back into the leather? I've tried collonil leather gel but it's still dry. Ideas?

Pretty bag.
Try Cadillac leather conditioner. Multiple coats.
Gels tend to be to drying.

Let me know how it goes getting the leather back in shape. I'm considering some thoroughly pre-loved bags myself, and I do wonder what's reasonable to expect with a bit of elbow grease.

Geektastic, I would definitely try and authenticate it...! If it turns out fake, try and return it and report the seller to eBay. If it turns out to be indeed authentic, perfect! You will be at peace not wondering forever whether or not you should have it authenticated.

As aside, just had a very kind girlfriend buy an oxblood class is bays for me from Heathrow and I'm so excited!!! I thought about getting the new version but I figured I could get that one later if I really wanted it.

I only have an lexi but will soon be joining this club very very soon. I've had my eyes on bays since 2012 and I'm in Australia (difficult to get one at a reasonable price) so I'm really looking forward to seeing the beauty. Will post some pics here when she arrives!!

Edit: oops I just realised that your question was posted a month ago. Have you had it authenticated, Geektastic? It's such a gorgeous bag btw and would love to know how you went with rejuvenating it!

Yay!!! She arrived last night with my friend - my first classic NVT Bays in Oxblood!!! Looks more chocolate-y here in the light but she's a really beauty. She does scratch a bit easily but it's also very easy to buff out the scratches. Great everyday work horse bag! I just wish the handles were a bit longer!
